   An amazing experience here on one of our final nights in Tokyo. The chef and his staff were meticulous, friendly and lovely. They went out of their way to accommodate us and ensured my wife’s portions were cooked as she couldn’t eat raw food. Definitely recommend this gem.

   Aunque un poco escondido en el sótano del edificio, el ambiente y la decoración son muy agradables, la atención personalizada del chef Takahashi en la barra fue magnífica, les recomiendo el menú de degustación que va de la mano del chef

   What gracious hosts we met at Sushi Takaya! We ran late due to public transit miscalculations (tourists!) and they were able to still accommodate us. The meal was remarkable from start to finish. You will not regret visiting with these gifted sushi chefs.

   This was one of the most amazing restaurant experiences in my life. It’s a small restaurant which makes it much more personal. The jazz music and the beautiful presentation really made the experience. The head chef made it much more personal, both with friendliness and explanations of both the food and accompaniments such as sake or wine. The food is a surprise, with each course made from surprising yet exceedingly delicious choices. Even though we do not speak Japanese, the wait staff was very friendly and had very good communication skills in English. It was an amazing experience. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were perfect!

    We reserved 3 counter seats for special evening. But when we arrived, manager informed that there’s no counter seats so we have to seat at the table. I was upset since some walking in customers were seating in counters but I had no choice because it was late evening and we were starving. I reserved this restaurant to show my kid how to make Japanese sushi but I stolen the opportunity of special experience. However the food was great and sake pairing was wonderful. Serving staff was friendly and good at communication.
