Have lived in Morda for nearly two years, and ventured here for the first time last Sunday, came back on Friday with friends visiting from London . Beautiful setting, great food and lovely friendly staff. Stunning! Can highly recommend the Sunday roasts. Feel very fortunate that we have this on our doorstep.

We had a lovely meal for my birthday, we did their Three at the Sweeney deal which was great value. The food was good and the service was very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be going again this as the surroundings are idilic on a summer evening.

Duck was overcooked. Flowers on table were badly in need of refreshment. The cheesecake was delicious (topped with rhubarb crumble). The fish pie and various vegan dishes were very good.

We were welcomed very warmly and shown to our table. The service we received was exceptional, being asked if we’d like more gravy and offering a hot honey and lemon drink, once I’d informed I was suffering from a very sore throat. The staff were all attentive, polite and caring. The food, as per usual, was delicious and we had a wonderful experience once again. One of my favourite local venues. Thank you to all staff, both in front and behind the scenes - you are a credit to your profession.

Excellent food and service as usual. The amount of customers on Mothering Sunday shows that The Sweeney continues to do things just right in a beautiful setting.

Delighted to meet my friend here for dinner. Food was very good, we tried the new 3 menu on a Monday which was exceptional value and delicious. Busy restaurant with a real buzz to it and attentive staff without making you feel rushed. Really pleased and will be back!
