   Went to brunch and enjoyed ourselves. Great view of the skyline and mountains and enjoyed the brunch menu, which was limited. The mimosa bar was fun. A few bumps in the road with service but it was sorted.

   The food was honestly amazing, but the food menu is very limited, as well as the wine selection. The full light was on Friday night up until around 9:30-10 pm - definitely not the ambiance you’d expect from a place like this. We got our food way before our drinks, and pretty much finished it by the time the drinks arrived. Pretty unfortunate. It’s a great location with a lot of potential, but this just ain’t it.

   Bottom line up front: 1.5 hours for an overpriced watered, watered down drink. NO VIEW IS WORTH THIS! From the time we sat down, until we had our drinks, was over a 40 min wait. When they finally arrived they were very watered down. We ordered 1 appetizer and it came out 20 mins before our drinks and was put on our table with no silverware or small plates. It took us another 10 mins to find someone to ask for at least a napkin. Getting our check was ridiculously hard. We asked after our drinks arrived because we had been there almost an hour and were done with the incredibly bad service. It took another 20 min to get the check and then we had to go hunt for someone to take our credit card after another 10 min wait. I so wanted to love this place. I live close by and having an awesome rooftop bar would be an amazing addition to the neighborhood. We have a rooftop bar but it is far from amazing 😢

   We looked forward to spending my birthday at Syn rooftop bar on a Wednesday evening. The views, colors, ambiance were beautiful and the couch and table set up was intentionally designed to "gather", just like the website mentions. Unfortunately, the excitement wore off as the five of us waited over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. While waiting for our drinks, the lights dimmed at 8pm on a Wed. and the music was cranked up so loud we could no longer hear each other even sitting next to one another on the couch. I let our server know it was my birthday and my birthday wish was for the music to be turned down so I could catch up with everyone. She said she would ask the manager. The drinks finally arrived. They were nuanced and delicious, but not worth the wait as we drank them in near silence after boring of shouting. Our appetizers (Ricotta and raisin bread, truffle french fries and deviled eggs) were good. We took pictures on the outdoor terrace but ultimately decided to leave early and find another spot to gather to catch up and get another drink. Disappointing.

   Everyone but us 2 left the room because music was too loud. The night before my wife was there and said it was fine. It’s new. Still figuring things out I guess.

   It's beautiful in this bar and the view is amazing. The music was way too loud though. The drinks and service were amazing.

   A fun place for a great cocktail, small plates, and a fantastic view from the rooftop with the mountains on one side and Reston and Tyson's on the other.
