   I took my wife and daughter out for a Mother's Day dinner the night before knowing that Saturday would be busy but not as crazy as Mother's Day Sunday. My wife loves Italian food as do we all. Upon arrival our reservation was quickly confirmed and we were promptly seated. The wait staff was swift and efficient, getting us our drink order and bread in no time at all and taking our order. When our meals arrived the portions were abundant and the food was excellent - raves to the chef! Though we were almost stuffed to the gills there was still that "almost" room for dessert. Wow, another home run for the Tambascio's team. This was our first time dining in this fine establishment and based on our experience it won't be our last. By the way, the prices are quite reasonable, too. Please check them out.

   We love Tambascio's. Always good food, always welcoming. Tonight, we celebrated Mothers Day but the Tambascio family is great at executing and making us feel good about our choice for any occasion.

   We were late diners this evening. I ordered the New York strip-medium rare-which came with green beans and mashed potatoes and a side salad. The other meal mess pork shank Osso Bucco with potato gnocchi in a delightful sauce and a side salad. Warm bread and oil arrived with our drink order. A delightful evening-many thanks to the friendly staff and expertly prepared meals.

   We had a party of 7. The table was ready when we arrived and there was no wait. The grand kids got dough to play with and make it into shapes. It was later cooked and returned to them. My pork dish was excellent as were most of the others. My wives chicken parmeson was a little over cooked. We weren't rushed at all but our food was slow to come out. Had to wait a long time to get our drinks. We had 5 deserts plus coffee. The manager came over to thank us for coming and to check on the meal. It was a low key family dinner. We drove from Georgetown and Monroe to try out the restaurant. I reccommend giving it a try.

   This has been our go to when we visit Newtown CT. A great family restaurant always receptive and open to receive children. There’s always ample portions served, cooked perfectly el dente. I have been there on a few occasions and consistency is what you look for in a restaurant. The highlight for my grandchildren is making their own shapes out of the pizza dough provided which is brought back to them baked and ready to eat! It’s a great place to celebrate any occasion .

    Great staff, very kid friendly (gave them dough to play with and shape/then cook). Will definitely now be a staple in our rotation and look forward to coming back again. Food was fantastic!
