The food was great. However, we were disappointed with the ambiance, it was not what we expected per the “website” (having a DJ on Sundays’s for brunch) and reviews.

I made a reservation at TAM to celebrate my mom’s birthday and chose the outdoor section, as I had enjoyed it on my previous visits. However, this time was a complete disappointment. The weather was terrible—rainy, windy, and cold—but they still decided to fully open the outdoor area, making it unbearable to sit there. Almost no one wanted to be outside, and the few people who were there were clearly freezing. Since we couldn’t sit outside, we asked for a table indoors, but they told us that the inside was fully booked all day and that the only option available was the outdoor table we had reserved. My question is, why open the outdoor section completely when the weather is this bad? It’s spring, but it still feels like winter! If the manager insists on opening it, at least wait until summer when the weather is actually warm. In the end, they couldn’t find us a proper table, so we had to sit at a tiny bar table, which is not meant for dining—it was extremely uncomfortable. The only good part of the night was the bartender, a super nice Guatemalan guy who made amazing drinks. Thanks to him for being so great! Other than that, horrible experience. If the restaurant is at full capacity, I understand, but we made a reservation and still didn’t get a proper dining table. I’m very disappointed. Not coming back.

Tán is 5*s for dinner and usually great with allergy adjustments, but brunch was surprisingly inflexible to the point where my server repeatedly tried to sub in allergy friendly items (like just subbing in chicken) and the kitchen refused to make any allergy adjustments at all, telling me to deal with it. And I will, by not going for brunch again - just dinner. The restaurant wasn’t full, either. I’ve had this before with no issues, but first time at brunch for us. The table next to us sent some things back as well. There was chicken on the menu, so the fact it couldn’t simply be placed into a taco at a Mexican restaurant is absurd. Charging the prices they do and then not being able to make minor allergy adjustments is just a bad look honestly. The brunch menu’s entrees are hard to deal with if you have dairy and gluten allergies, but you’ll probably love it if you aren’t cursed with annoying allergies to mainstream ingredients like me. That said, the ceviche and guac were phenomenal. The bao buns sounded good, but the pork did not taste like the listed ingredients and was rather bland. I didn’t eat the buns though, just the meat. Service was TERRIFIC.

Hi Brandon! We’re grateful to hear how much you loved our ceviche and guacamole, and that our service team left such a terrific impression. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to them! That said, we want to apologize for the disappointment you experienced during brunch and the inflexibility surrounding allergy adjustments. At tán, we truly value the comfort and safety of our guests, and it’s clear that we fell short of your expectations in this instance. we've shared your concerns with both our kitchen team and management to ensure we evaluate how we handle these situations moving forward. We look forward to welcoming you back for dinner and continue providing the experience you’ve come to love.
