   The tables are old and the veneer in the wood is worn. The cook was entertaining but the prices were excessive, even for Honolulu and the food was average.

   Went for my 21st birthday last night, and it was so fun! Such an entertaining dining experience. The drinks were so delicious, we tried the blue hawaii, the lava flow, the piña colada, and the strawberry daiquiri. Pricey for sure, but honestly the value is good. Thank you to the staff last night and our chef Christian :)

   I didn’t realize how much the prices went up. Definitely a splurge meal. It was ok this time. I thought it was better before or maybe it just depends on the chef. The experience is always entertaining but again, depends on your chef.

   As usual on our yearly visit to Oahu, tanaka’s delivered another great experience. More than 10 years of visits and the brand remains very consistent. Food quality is excellent. Chef entertainment also amusing and engaging for the young ones. Politeness and service is at the higher end and as expected for American cuisine. Finally, value and quality for money is easily five stars.

   予約をして伺いました。 店内は沢山の観光客のお客様がいらしてました。また、あちこちでバースデーソングをスタッフの方が歌われており、地元の方々も特別な日に来られてるようです。目の前の鉄板でパフォーマンスしながら調理して下さり、大変楽しく美味しくいただきました。 またカメラスタッフがおり、ポーズを変えながら数枚写真撮影。1枚$20です。記念にと思われる方は購入されると良いと思います。

   Great food, great service. Cook was very entertaining and skillful always cracking a joke. Everything about it was great would definitely go again!

    hostess was having a horrible day and rude and condescending. perhaps she should have stayed home instead of being the first point of contact. server was a good dude and tried hard but could tell he wasn't getting it. bar was backed up and it took over 15 minutes for 4 drinks. chef was ok. he tried. he burned the scallops to the point where it was blackened char on one side. he went crazy with the shoyu on the lobster. he completely forgot the cook the steak for a guy in the other party. manager comes in after the meal and says, how was it. Well, for 500 bucks, it sure felt like a rip off. Ive been here over 30 times over the years and honestly, this was the worse. absolute worse. This place needs some help. Better training from the top down. The point is everyone was ok. This isn't famous for legendary service like the Shangri La or Ritz-Carlton and never will be. The food isn't famous for being amazing. But remembering that if guests are paying $100/hear average based on our bill, you would hope they at least try and do better than a fast casual F&B.
