When I was a child I grew up with my mother, grandmother and aunt. All of them were very good in the kitchen. They had different styles and they cooked every day. From ravioli, soup or patisserie, everything was made from scratch. Those ladies were my teachers. My first lesson was dishwashing, later it was helping as their assistant. To honor those amazing woman who helped me in my early days, I decided to open Tarquin to bring Sioux Falls our flavors, recipes and dishes. Tarquin is a piece of Buenos Aires in a remote corner of Sioux Falls commercial district. You are always going to be welcome here and we will always offer you our best.

    The food was fantastic. We had a large group though and they seemed to struggle with that despite me calling in advance to try and work with them. However, the food was fantastic and everyone was incredibly nice. Perfect for a small group for a nice meal.

    Highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious food — everything we tried was flavorful. We tried empanadas, fondue, two pasta dishes and homemade chocolate hazelnut cake. The cake melted in our mouths. So yummy. Wine list is robust. The recommendation from the waiter was spot on. We will be back!

    Excellent service, nice ambiance, and kind of a hidden gem. Really good empanadas. Steak was good. Pasta was okay. One of the staff sang for our anniversary dinner and completely blew us away!! Thank you!!

    Food came out raw. Waitress didn’t refil water or check on our table for almost 30 min after food arrived. When we told her our food was still raw she didn’t do anything walked away. Then came back and cleared our plates. Manager refused to comp any of the raw dishes. So we had to pay for food we didn’t get to take home to recook or eat. Worst experience at a restaurant ever

    Empanadas and cake were amazing. Next time I would suggest skipping the entrées and just go with empanadas and a slice or two of cake.

    Absolutely oustanding restaurant! Amazing atmosphere! Elegant and comfortable seating👌 Great music background, tangos & old Argentinian famous tunes! My churrasco de entraña (skirt steak) melted in my mouth! My sister had the fettuccini with cream sauce & prawns was mouthwatering! The Malbec that was suggested by Chef Gabriel was espectacular, very fine & full of flavor, excellent pairing for the steak👏👏 We’re visiting from Vegas & Ottawa and when we come back to visit again Tarquín is on the top of our list to dine & enjoy with our family & friends! We recommend it very highly🌷🌷

    Gabriel and his staff do a remarkable job of creating hand crafted meals that never disappoint. This is a great place for a business lunch or a family dinner. All are welcome and there is something for everyone. My favorite place to eat in Sioux Falls.
