   I had the pleasure of visiting Tasting House for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We opted for the Chef's Tasting Menu Experience, and it was truly a night to remember. The food was nothing short of excellent—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated the brief story behind each dish, highlighting its inspiration and the fact that all ingredients were locally sourced from California. It added a personal and meaningful touch to the meal. While most dishes were exceptional, the sorbet was probably my least favorite. It had a numbing, tingling sensation and a very bitter/sour taste that we couldn't finish. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured we felt special throughout the evening. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with great live romantic music adding to the atmosphere. It’s rare to find a restaurant with live music like this, which made the experience feel even more unique and intimate. While the music was slightly loud for the smaller space, it didn’t detract much from the overall enjoyment. Next time, I look forward to ordering from the menu and exploring their wine selection. Highly recommended!

   If you’re looking for a dining experience that checks every box, look no further than Los Gatos‘s own Tasting house. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere, with the soft glow of table top lamps, and a nice surprise – soothing sounds of live jazz! It was the perfect backdrop to celebrate Tasting House’s three year anniversary. The food? Just exceptional. My son and I opted for the Chef’s five course tasting menu and oh my goodness – each dish was a masterpiece. The Hamachi Crudo, the Corn Soup, with its mini tamale accompaniment, the Beef Carpaccio , the Beef Wellington (❤️)and the Basque Cheesecake– all were beyond extraordinary! Dehydrated, brown butter with the cheesecake! Who knew?! The rest of the family ordered à la carte items and again, nothing disappointed. If you’re a brussels sprouts fan – these are the best ever – hands-down! Chef’s Pumpkin Soup, with the best homemade naan, is out of this world! The Steak Frittes , cooked perfectly and served with a velvety Bernaise sauce- DELICIOUS! It’s clear Chef Julian takes immense pride in his craft, and with such innovation. Every dish is presented beautifully – each its own work of art. The service was truly unmatched. They were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel pampered throughout the meal. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was impressive – which only added to the enjoyment of our evening. JP suggested some new wines that were enjoyed by all. As my daughter said , when we were leaving- this wasn’t just a nice dinner out – this was an EXPERIENCE-and one I can’t wait to relive! Treat yourself!

   Went to a tasting dinner with wine. 3rd anniversary of Tasting House. Food was great, wine went well with all of the courses. Very enjoyable evening.

   I was really hoping this would be a great experience for my husband’s birthday! I booked in advance, I let them know it was his birthday! I called ahead about the chef’s experience! Was told it was SOLD OUT once we got there! Did not acknowledge it was his birthday AT ALL! VERY DISAPPOINTED! We will not be returning! Horrible experience we will not be returning. Our waiter came around every 20-30 minutes ! For $280 it was definitely NOT WORTH IT!

   We tried the new squid salad with an amazing Italian white wine pairing. It was delicious! The live music was incredible. The service was exceptional as always!

   Amazing food, superlative service, and wonderful ambience. The Tasting House is a remarkable restaurant each, and every item on the menu is succulent beyond belief. And while you are enjoying their beautiful food and surroundings, a marvelous jazz group plays, traditional jazz that would bring a smile to anyone’s face on Bourbon Street. The Tasting House literally has everything to make a totally complete and delightful evening. One can only remember when the Michelin stars will begin to come.
