Located across from Director’s Park in the Paramount Hotel, this dual concept engages all the regions of the palate. Taylor Street Tavern polishes the ruggedly natural aspects of the Pacific Northwest into precisely crafted plates for daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. Locally sourced ingredients also make an appearance in the house crafted cocktails and west coast wine selections.

Just across the lobby, Swine Moonshine and Whiskey Bar explores the history of the American whiskey tradition, complete with a reclaimed authentic still and extensive whiskey list. Early and late happy hours keep people sipping all night long.

Taylor Street Tavern is a go to dinner spot when attending an event at the Schnitz. Leif was an excellent guide to selecting our dinner. We were very pleased that sharing a meal was not a problem and the staff were very gracious to split and serve us each our portion. Oh! Did I mention the Affrogato? Yum😋

Food was very good, service was a little slow even though we mentioned having show tickets. Interestingly, we got there at 6pm on a Saturday night and we had three things that we ordered and were told that they were out of those items (part of the one star reduction). I can understand being out of things at the end of the night or end of the weekend, but early on a Friday, with peak dining hours to come…you start your weekend out of non-speciality items?

Taylor Street Tavern is a very nice room architecturally. The service is excellent. The cuisine and prices are reasonable. A great place to eat before a movie or event at the Schnitzer.

Some friends and I decided to eat here before a show at the Schnitz (Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall), which was great because it was no more than 2 blocks away. Making a reservation was efficient and relieved the stress of having to find somewhere to eat, downtown, on a Friday night. The ambience was great, as it felt fancy and relaxing, yet not too stuffy. I'm glad we ate here!

It was an unusual evening. We kept getting told that items on the menu that we asked for were not available - the pizza oven “blew up and burned” so no pizza. No Halibut available. Seemed they needed to reprint different menus. The chicken I ordered seemed to bear no resemblance to menu description. It was completely bland served with orzo mixed with tomato paste. We started to wonder if they had lost their kitchen staff??

An excellent choice for well-prepared, modern American meals. Lovely, low-key, airy atmosphere (sophisticated, upbeat, casual), friendly, prompt service, and an excellent value. Highly recommended for business dinners or a night of theater, music, or other entertainment.

Been here a few times before a show at the Arlene. First time I came the cocktails were amazing, they were not the best the second time. The bartenders were pretty slow, we waited forever for our drinks and ended up having to chug the last one because it came when we were ready to leave… They told us there was a new chef so it took a while for food to come out. Our food tasted great. We got pizzas, salmon and the Caesar salad. Despite the flaws on my second trip, I would go again because the first time was good all around. I’ll chalk it up to new staff, it happens!
