The original library and drawing room of Taypark House is the perfect home for our impressive restaurant. Each room enjoys uninterrupted views across the botanical gardens and the beautiful, shimmering River Tay. We've sympathetically restored these two rooms to highlight their original features, whilst adding our own modern vintage twist - like the hanging teapot lamps dangling from the ornate plaster ceiling, or the cluster chandelier with pretty, patterned lampshades draped from the central rose. It really is an incredible setting for delicious dining.

Our award winning chef Glenn Roach who has previously held 3 AA rosettes and now already earned 1 AA rosette with his take on home cooking looks to recrate classic dishes and lets the locally sourced produce speak for it self

    Possible the best meal I’ve had in the last year or two. Value for money wise it was incredible. Food presentation was first class.

    All of our party of 7 enjoyed the ambience and setting. We all had the 5-course Taster Menu and, in the main, the food was excellent. Minor problems were: our total vegetarian guest enjoyed only 3 of the 5 courses. Although the mousse course was excellent, all 7 of us were surprised to find that it contained none the fruit mentioned in the menu. Our hostess/waitress for the evening did an excellent job.

    We booked for the brunch menu for 1.00.We were given the lunch menu.and when I queried this I was advised that the brunch menu finished at 12.30.The hotel offered us to order from the lunch menu and this cost is an extra £10.

    Always a lovely experience being at taypark as the staff and food are amazing. This is my go to place when meeting up. We had brunch today and it was fabulous. I had the eggs florentine, my guests had eggs royale and the pancakes with fruit compot and cream. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dish. Staff were very attentive without being obtrusive. Well done yet again Taypark.

    Had a lovely evening at The Taypark House Hotel. Service, food and prices were excellent. The staff were very helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere. As it is the Christmas season, the hotel was beautifully decorated. Hope to return again soon.

    We attended the ‘Taypark Christmas Market’ this was very dismantled and from previous years in the stables, didn’t flow very well. I felt sorry for the traders as there were only around 10 stalls (thus usually tells us the price charged per stall is over priced by the organiser). We had booked lunch for 3 as we were attending with my mother, the sandwiches were dry, without any offering of butter and was very basic; This was reported to the waiter who said she would let the kitchen know. We were sat in the window, the building is looking tired with cracked window panes and paintwork - requires some love and attention. Overall not a great experience and would not return in a hurry.

    Steak pies great; cauliflower dish less so. Very welcoming atmosphere. Relief that no background music is played!
