We had a large group on the patio for several hours, celebrating an annual event, and the wait staff did a great job keeping up with our orders. It got a little loud on the patio, but I think that was us (ha). The food was tasty and the drinks were delicious. The owner of Teddy's introduced herself to us, and that was a nice touch. We were all so glad to see this space has been renewed as Teddy's.

The food was pretty tasty. The outside patio was nice and casual. Definitely a good spot to bring a baby or kids if you’re ok sitting outside!

Great food and service but was very loud, to the point that it made it so the two of us weren’t able to talk to / hear each other. Not sure if it’s a consistent issue or just because they had several large parties seated who seemed to be yelling over each other in a small space. Would definitely go back and don’t let that hinder you from going! Maybe just sit outside instead.

Saturday night on the patio was deader than dead, negative ambiance. (We asked if anything had opened up inside and were offered seats in front of a vase full sticks that would have poked our eyes out.) There was a family with a small child running around and one other two top. The server delivered his energetic opening spiel to the two top then asked us if he needed to repeat it us since maybe we were listening to him. We were advised that a) Southwest fare is what they are known for, and b) that we should order our whole meal at once because the kitchen is small an otherwise our meal could take hours. The two entrees he recommended were fried and the other than a couple apps the menu doesn't scream "Southwest". The wine selection was similarly uninspiring. Despite his warning, we ordered an appetizer only: the oysters. There was an overly complicated explanation of how they serve oysters, specifically only in increments of six. The verde sauce was a nice touch and delicious. However, I got a fishy tasting oyster and that killed it for me. I was doing my best not to show my dissatisfaction with the experience when my wife suggested we close out and head to a different restaurant. Made my night and reaffirmed my belief in our marriage. Perhaps the dining room experience is better and worth another visit; we'll see.

New restaurant in ATX- eclectic menu with a mix of heavy southern meals and some seafood. The dirty martini was good!

Beautifully decorated space with pretty, covered patio space. Great service, friendly wait staff, and the food was very tasty. Portions were on the small size for the prices and it was pretty noisy when it filled up, but definitely worth a visit.

I was really looking forward to lunch at Teddy’s, but unfortunately, it was a pretty frustrating experience. First, the patio was unbearably loud—I could barely hear the people at my own table without having to yell across. Not exactly the relaxing lunch vibe we were hoping for. Service was fine, but what really annoyed me was being denied the option of a mocktail. I was told, “The bartender is too busy to make one.” Seriously? I’m pregnant and just wanted a simple non-alcoholic drink while everyone else at my table was ordering cocktails and bottles of wine. Instead, I was stuck with water because they couldn’t be bothered to accommodate one easy request. Their loss on the extra money I would’ve spent. All in all, between the noise and the lack of basic hospitality, I left feeling pretty disappointed. Wouldn’t rush back.
