Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.

Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third-floor space is a cosy lounge once home to The Arts and Letters Club where Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909.

Excellent date night at Terroni, service was great, my only issue was that food portions were quite small for the price. Loved the location, very beautiful.

the service has gotten worse at terroni as of our last few visits. Way too long of wait times, we were told we had a limit of 1.5 hours for our reservation yet it took us 25 minutes to just receive our bottle of wine and we then didn’t have our mains until our reservation time would’ve been up. The manager running the floor kept looking at our tables and telling servers to pick up the pace and get us moving while showing to be visibly upset. Our visit Didn’t feel welcoming, felt rushed while also being incredibly slow. Our server never checked in especially when things were taking incredibly long, she kept standing by the bar just looking around aimlessly. We asked our server for new cutlery as we sat there without any with our mains infront of us for another 5 minutes. Terroni was once a fav spot of ours but after our last couple of visits, it is unlikely we will return anytime soon.

I made a reservation for a Valentine's date and my first impression od the restaurant is that I had to hurry up - "you have to return your table in 1:30" didn't seem to be the most welcoming sentence to hear on my arrival and brought the anxiety that it had to be like a fast food. After getting to my seats, the chair was preety unconfortable to have a meal and have a conversation, this single couch that was too far away from the table and from the other person. I asked to change seats, and even thought there were other free different seats on the 3rd floor, we were asked to go to the front desks on the 1st floor. Only when we got there we realized it was a SHARED table! Definetely not what I expected from a Valentine's date that I made a reservation for... But ok, the seats were better. The music was loud and we were right in front of the door that had to be open at every 3 minutes with a cold wind comming to our faces. And than we got the food, that did not make up for everything else, it was just OK. I mean, it was good, but nothing spetacular, we had the gran padano spaguetti week's special, which was good and a another truffled spaguetti that we barely couldn't taste the truffle. The desert, the day' valentine special, was ok too, just like a bigger Ferrero Rocher mousse. Definetelly would not go back for a special occasion, neither would recommend it for friends.

Honestly I lovee Terroni it’s always so good! But I was a little let down this past visit . Idk maybe because it was Valentine’s Day and they were very busy, the food wasn’t as top quality as usual , noodles were harder than al dente and sticking together and my Bolognese was gritty. I am alittle let down.. Overall the experience was good. I understand that they want to book as much as possible to make profit on one of the busiest days of the year but quality is much better than quantity.. that’s why I come here!
