We were greeted by our server and taken to a lovely table for 2 by a window. That in itself was amazing! The staff was kind and helpful throughout the meal. We would definitely recommend!

Wonderful dining room and service. Construction equipment outside blocking view. Buffet food not very tasty. Expensive for low quality food.

Fine dining in Yosemite was a Harry Potter vibe in a good way - wild to find pork loin stuffed with Lao sausage in the landscapes of Yosemite

The experience of dining in the park’s nicest restaurant should include excellent food that makes the evening memorable. The buffet is poorly setup for traffic flow and did not seem to be kept full in a timely manner. The dessert selections looked and tasted like low quality grocery store bakery items. The entree options were delicious but not the freshest. The buffet staff offered great suggestions of combining the vegetarian curry with the prawns. The waitstaff was excellent, personable and very knowledgeable of the park. The wine list is good and we had a bottle of Italian wine that is often hard to come by. The room itself is beautiful and lived up to expectations including a piano player. I would go back and give them a second chance when they are back to an ala cart menu. Hopefully then I’d feel better about my $250 dinner for 2 not including the valet parking fee.

Evidently the kitchen is going through an upgrade so it was buffet only. However… I’ve had many buffet meals and this was a very lazy attempt at a lovely buffet. Substandard at best. Will definitely try again when they are at their full potential but this was not it.

The food was good as opposed to excellent. It was overpriced both in the dining room and bar. I felt I was taken advantage by the prices.

A beautiful 100-year-old building, the Ahwahnee Hotel has a lovely old dining hall looking out onto mountain meadows and steep canyon walls. The "buffet" was a bit of a surprise, but tasty just the same. Featuring chicken, fish, prime rib and tri-tip entrees, the feast was all you could want.
