I can honestly say this was the most enjoyable meal I have had for a long time. A regular foodie to Michelin restaurants throughout the world which I say not to show off but to put in perspective. The food itself was exceptional, beautifully presented with all the grandeur of the fancy chefs but somehow making it a meal. When did you last have such superb pig’s trotters. We loved it. I could go into all the pompous descriptions but it is easier to say just go, you cannot be disappointed. That being said don’t do it too soon because I’m aiming to return to have other items that caught my attention and would hate to think I couldn’t get in. The lady, and I’m so cross I didn’t get her name, that looked after us was wonderful. Efficient, professional but mostly delightful. We honestly felt cared for. We loved the ambiance too. Somehow discreet, very comfortable and peacefully quiet. Downside? We ordered three puddings between the two of us (don’t judge us, it’s hard to choose) and they are such large portions we couldn’t finish them. My street cred as dessert king in tatters. Loved it

Cannot fault the food. It was delicious but incredibly expensive for a Sunday roast. You cannot have just a one course Sunday roast you have to have a £50 2 course set menu. V pricey for a standard pub food. There is NO parking. Website says there is lots nearby. Closest is a 1 mile walk away and we had to end up paying £12 to park. The staff were incredibly rude, especially the main women there who kept acting as if we were a pain for ordering food rather than paying customers. Would never go back.

We visited the Bailiwick for Sunday lunch, introducing 4 friends to it. Such a delightful venue which immediately starts with the warm welcome from Johnny at the bar and continues throughout all the staff. The food was well sourced, prepared and delicious for the range of preferences in our party. The price was very good value, considering the quality of food, venue, the great staff and the joy we all had - priceless. All of us will return, brining along new friends to experience the Bailiwick.

Me and my partner went to Bailiwick this weekend for our Valentine’s Day celebration. The food we received was amazing. Everything was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was top tier. We didn’t have to wait long between meals and our server was constantly making sure we had full glasses and that we were happy with our food. We will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu, and enjoy the surrounding area. The little touches made the experience what it was. I was given a rose at the end of the meal as a Valentines gift. Thank you

Disappointing. Went for fixed menu for Valentines. Crab dish and sharing bread was lovely. Fillet steak was ok but we were not asked how we would like it cooked so a little over done for us. The cheese fondue course was awful. Not sure why it was included. The cheese was not very Cheesy and the pickles were a bit odd. Desert was ok but no real wow! Service was going through the motions with no real energy or enthusiasm. Took 25 minutes from being seated to getting a drink. We had ordered but then we were asked by another staff member if we wanted a drink from the bar. Not sure what had happened and no apology for the delay. Couldn’t find my coat when leaving. Perhaps put the table number on the hanger. Shouldn’t be difficult! Have been before and it was fantastic, hence the opening remark. They did knock off the price of the fondue course but thats not really the point, you go out for the evening with high expectations wanting all to be perfect and happy to pay for it. When it doesn’t quite hit the mark, it is disappointing.
