We arrived late so we could only have the happy hour menu, but I had the tuna Nicoise saw salad and it was very good.

Really nice spot. Was busy enough to let you know it’s a solid place, but laid out well so you didn’t feel jammed in. If you like seafood, don’t sleep on the Banks!

Not a good experience. My husbands 59th birthday and no acknowledgement. Small table, loud, server was nice but non existent for most of the evening. No management checking on customer service. Our bill was $300 for two which is fine for a good experience. Not here!

I recently dined at Banks Seafood and Steak, and while the food was nothing short of spectacular, the overall experience was marred by some significant issues. Let’s start with the highlight: the food. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, the combinations inventive, and the execution flawless. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the caliber of the cuisine. Our server was friendly but clearly overwhelmed. We waited a long time for drinks, and even longer for someone to check in after our food arrived. It wasn’t a matter of disinterest, but rather that the staff seemed stretched too thin to keep up with the pace of the dining room. To make matters more challenging, the noise level was extremely high. The space, while stylish, doesn't seem designed with acoustics in mind. We had to raise our voices—often to a near shout—just to hear each other across the table. It made what should have been a cozy night out feel unnecessarily chaotic. Bottom line: the food is worth the visit, especially if you're a culinary enthusiast, but be prepared for a wait, a loud environment, and potentially slow service. If management can address the staffing and noise issues, this place could be a real gem.

Have frequently dined here and the service was exceptionally slow this time. Made me question coming at lunchtime. Food is consistently great!

Felt special yet casual. Bread service was delicious and buttery. Jumbo shrimp cocktails were outstanding but did have to ask for more horseradish. Caesar salad you have to cut yourself which not my favorite. Dover sole was delicious but the sauce was heavier than it should have been. Mashed loathed were drenched in butter which we loved but some might not. Service was slow for the amount of people eating and the large amount of staff. Would recommend.

John, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—we’re so glad to hear you felt the atmosphere struck the right balance between special and casual. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the bread service, the jumbo shrimp cocktails, and the Dover Sole, and we’re happy to hear the buttery mashed potatoes were a hit! We also appreciate your honest feedback on the Caesar salad presentation. These kinds of details help us fine-tune the experience. Your note about the pace of service is well taken—we aim to match the level of attentiveness to the overall dining flow, and we’ll be reviewing how we can improve consistency there. Thank you again for the recommendation—we hope to have the chance to welcome you back soon! The Banks Management Team

Jazz music good but a little louder than usual. Would have been better if now so loud. The previous time we’ve been didn’t seem as loud as it was yesterday… Food overall good. Steak on salad was ordered medium and came out quite rare. They did bring another piece to table which was nice.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the food overall. We’re sorry the volume of the jazz music impacted your experience this time. We aim to strike the right balance so our guests can enjoy both the atmosphere and conversation comfortably. We'll definitely take your comments into account and review the sound levels during live music events. We also appreciate your note about the steak. While we're happy our team responded promptly, we’ll follow up with the kitchen to ensure doneness is more consistently on point moving forward. Thanks again for sharing your experience—we hope to welcome you back soon for an even better visit!
