   The overall ambience was amazing. It was like eating in someone's garden. Drinks were amazing. The only downside was that all Of our mains came overcooked. Flavours were nice, hamachi was amazing.

   Charming, Cozy, Experiential, Special, and Delicious are words that come to mind in describing this restaurant! My friend and I come to PS every year to celebrate our birthdays together. This year, we chose the Barn Kitchen as our first birthday dinner of the week - we had never been. The Barn Kitchen exceeded our expectations! The staff is SO warm and friendly, we left there feeling as if we had made a few friends. They made us feel extra special in so many ways from the quaint table they sat us at, to the birthday dessert, to their interactions with us. It was truly a joy to be there. The ambiance is so cozy and beautiful with trees and gardens and a firepit - and everyone seemed to try and keep a somewhat quiet tone to the outdoor restaurant space. We loved it. Here's the food we enjoyed! Burrata - Beautifully creamy and served with prosciutto and grapes and grilled bread - the plating is gorgeous! We had asked for a salami instead. The chef apparently didn't like that idea :) :) and we were a little disappointed at first but stuck with the chef's choice....we were so glad we "just went with it" because the prosciutto was better than what we have normally experienced. It was more meaty and more flavorful than we have previously tasted. So we were very happy with our appetizer!! Salmon - The sear is amazing - crusty and flavorful! Even though it was deeply seared, the inside was moist and flaky and perfectly cooked. Mole Chicken - Moist and flavorful! Again, perfectly cooked. The mole sauce is more spicy than they indicated to us, but everyone's taste is different! All in all it was spectacular and served with perfectly fluffy rice! Berries and Cream - AMAZING! The little crisp cookies with rye were the perfect compliment! We finished the entire thing! Chocolate Chunk Cookies - AMAZING! Crisp, warm, chewy on the inside, with big wells of gooey chocolate, topped with salt. Need I say more? And they gave us THREE large cookies! We will be back!

   We have enjoyed a lunch at The Barn Kitchen three times so far during our stay in Palm Springs. It is a wonderful spot to enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. All of our guests have enjoyed the experience and commented that they would like to return. The Barn Burgers are delicious along with the array of salads. The quiet setting makes a perfect spot for visiting. We will definitely be back again!

   To me it’s the quintessential Southern California restaurant. Intimate outdoor seating with lovely lighting and decor. A small-ish menu but lots to satisfy everyone. Service is attentive but casual - the food takes a bit of time but they DO give you a heads up in that regard! We eat here every time we are in Palm Springs - so good!

   Although I have lived in the desert for many years, I have never experienced this restaurant before. It is beautiful! As if you have been transported to a small town in Italy, France, or Spain. So comfortable and charming. The menu is limited but the items we had were excellent. Our server, Desi, was also wonderful! We can’t wait to return!

    First the negative, the restaurant needs to do a better job at telling its diners where to park and enter. Following GPS, we ended up in the back of the hotel. Now the important thing…..the food was excellent and well-worth the parking confusion! Roasted carrots were fabulous as was the chicken mole. The big-eye tuna salad was also very good, just a little over-dressed, not that it stopped us from eating all of it. Wine list is limited. Ambience charming.
