This is closed and didn’t notify anyone. Planes a brunch for 2 weeks and walked up to our reservation with closed doors and a change of owner sign. At least notify people so they don’t get plans jackedup.

The Basil Leaf Cafe Close the week end after we ate. Most of the staff had resigned, so service was slow but the few staff worked very hard and the food was quite good. Sorry to see them go, they will be replaced by a Mexican Rest set to open in October.

I've eaten here before and to be fair the other visits warranted a much higher review. According to the staff the rest. is being sold and will become a Mexican Rest. so they had limited menu and were understaffed in the Kitchen because of the new ownership. It is my understanding that the Basil Leaf will close down for 2 months to be remodeled and become a Mexican rest.

Man, has Basil Leaf lost its way. Only one waitress, un-bused tables, no bartender. This place used to be a place for a better than acceptable meal at a reasonable price. No more - in every possible way to construe that phrase.

It is a shame they are closing. We have lived in Danville for 42 years and always have a good meal, great location and friendly service. Will miss Basil Leaf very much

There were only 3 tables in the whole restaurant that had customers and it was Saturday night in Danville. My husband and I split a salad. It didn’t look like it had any dressing on it at all. It was the house salad with balsamic dressing, or supposed to be. My Saltimbocca was okay and my husband like the Pomodoro with chicken. Our friends had the Rigatoni which she liked but her husband ordered salmon that was over cooked. He was not happy and hardly ate it. Portions are really big too - i would prefer less and be happy with my dinner. I have had lunch there and liked it but I don’t think we will be having dinner there again.
