   Lovely dining area. Fanatic staff attentive and friendly. The food was nice - I had king prawn curry (with crispy samphire - delicious) and husband had sausages and mash. Flavour was lovely. We had cheese straws to nibble - they were much bigger than straws 😂

   Made a last minute reservation and had no trouble booking. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Food was excellent and great value for money. First time we had been here and was made to feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend The Bear Inn.

   The Sunday lunch is one of the best I've had, food is consistently good each time we visit. Staff are great, they always make a fuss over my dog. The place has a very relaxed vibe which I like.

   Very busy pub which is a good recommendation to start with. Food was great and the staff were engaging, helpful and charismatic.

   Visited the Bear Inn of Bath during our vacation through England and Ireland. We wanted to try a traditional Sunday Roast and we were recommended to the Bear by our innkeeper. We were warmly welcomed by the staff upon our arrival and seated at a table near the front windows. We ordered beverages (Guiness and a Lager) and placed our dinner orders (roast of Beef). The food came in a reasonable timeframe, was plated nicely and tasted delicious. The Yorkshire Pudding was exceptional! For dessert we had two pastry puddings with ice cream. The entire meal was outstanding and truly value for the price paid. The Bear is a mix of locals and guests to Bath. There were families dining (some with dogs) who knew other patrons, a group of locals in the pub area watching a rugby match and some other visitors (like us). This was truly one of our most enjoyable dining experiences during our trip through England. If you’re in or near Bath, the Bear is truly worth a visit.

   Sunday roast was good, in particular the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It was also a very generous portion. The side of cauliflower cheese was a let down, very bland and not worth the money. All of the staff were lovely. We took our newborn baby with us and there was space for the pram next to the table without it feeling cramped.

   While I enjoyed everything at The Bear Inn, I feel there could be one or two daily specials that don’t involve fried food or could include a lot more vegetables/salad for those that are wanting a much more wholesome meal.

   We went to the Bear on Sunday with our two children and puppy. We were blown away with the amazing food and service. The food was so delicious and we were extremely well looked after. I would highly recommend. Hayley

    The Bear Inn had a lively and happy atmosphere when we walked in. We were showed to the table quickly with several options. Our waiter was very attentive and polite, knowledgeable about choices of local beer. Food was presented beautifully. I ordered sea bass but was not cooked through so the chef gave me another one which was perfect. My son had flat iron steak which he enjoyed and my husband had prawn and monkfish curry which superb. The sticky toffee pudding and ice cream was exceptional ! Service was outstanding; food was very delicious; wide variety of drinks and cost of the meal was just right. We enjoyed our dinner and we will come back again for more!
