   Treat yourself to this experience, we enjoyed our first one with friends so much we came back. Cheers to Oscar for making the night great from assisting with our wine selection and helping as we were a tad early, he made sure we were accommodated. I have to compliment the chef too for superb meals , 6 in total over two visits , all delicious and the presentation mouthwatering. When I come back to Osoyoos I will be dining here again.

   Our group of four had a fantastic experience having Dinner. The setting was comfortable with a nice upscale casualness, the food sublime 🤩. Service was really nice , attentive and respectful. I would recommend treating yourself to a dinner here.

   The unpleasant experience was not due to the staff or environment. They menu change was poor. Nothing looked appetizing so we left without ordering.

   The Bear, the Fish, the Root and the Berry is situated within the Hyatt Hotel atop the gorgeous Spirit Ridge resort property with spectacular views. Superb staff and world class cuisine. The perfectly glazed, tender, scrumptious Beef ribs paired with five seasonal grilled veggies were so delicious that we will be back again tonight to have it again. The pork belly dish is a must try. If you’re not super hungry, the pork belly dish is just right for dinner if paired with corn bread or chef’s daily soup creation. Can’t say enough about this amazing restaurant.

   Beautiful food, and there's something for everyone. I loved the vegetarian entree of fried wild mushrooms and root veg. It was an outstanding dish. The cocktails are very yummy. Earlier in the day we had the bannock and dips, which is good to the last crumb.

   We love dining. We booked dinner for the two of us with the intention of making an evening of it (slow season, so we weren't hijacking a coveted table). We began at the bar with coctails (beautifully crafted menu with a local flavour flare) then moved to the dining room. We are herbivores, which makes dining out challenging at times, but we're delighted that we could chose from multiple dishes on The Root menu. The flavours were so unique, inspired by indigenous cuisine, and gorgeously plated. Oskar was a friendly and attentive server who made excellent recommendations. We will be returning.
