   Anna, Alex and Freya were all so friendly, helpful and professional. It was a truly lovely experience from start to finish. The food was beautiful, limitless tea, coffee etc. The ambience and surroundings of the hotel made it extra special.

   A regular customer here but for afternoon tea group booking on saturday and it was terrible. Firstly the dietary requirements were brought out incorrect- rather than apologising one person who didn’t have any dietary requirements was told to just eat the vegan sandwiches and cakes that even the vegan didn’t enjoy: consisted of a piece of bread with a tomatoes on one, two pieces of pepper on another and a piece of lettuce without any vegan butter or condiment. Dry was an understatement. The scone they didn’t have any suitable jam or vegan butter so was told to eat it dry (for £40) Such a shame as a lovely venue and have had really good dining and drink experiences in this venue. But the afternoon tea experience leaves a lot to be desired leaving one person without anything to eat (as a gesture of good will and speaking to his manager that one persons was removed from the bill- not sure how they would of been expected to pay when no food they ordered was brought to the table) and the vegan option really needs to be revisited- appalling.

   Lovely ambience, Abbey was so lovely and attentive. Sandwiches received mixed reviews, not for everyone’s taste. Scones were to die for and cakes were lovely. Really loved this treat!!

   I want to thank all the staff at the tearoom who went above and beyond to help us celebrate our friends surprise baby shower! We all had an amazing time and will definitely be returning in the near future! Thank you all x

    Superb service from Anna. So attentive, professional and brought a lovely plate with ‘happy birthday’ and a cake for my friend’s birthday. Lovely ambience. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Best scones I’ve eaten in an afternoon tea. Unusual vegetarian fillings for sandwiches. Such a change to the usual boring ones!
