    Our server was great. As per usual for the Brass Onion, no one was at the door to seat people. Along with some others, we waited for about 5 minutes for a host to come to the reception area. The gumbo was room temperature and the chicken on my salad was grilled just short of shoe leather. It was too tough to chew and slightly burned. We love the Brass Onion for its ambiance and, generally, the food. Not sure if today was just ‘off’ or what was going on. Again, our server was attentive and great.

    I have always wanted to try the brass onion. I went there during restaurant week for lunch and the atmosphere is wonderful, they definitely did not have enough help, our waiter forgot about us, so we had to go up to the Bar to get help for payment, a to go container and more water. My daughter ordered the loaded mac & cheese which she absolutely loved and I ordered the cheeseburger which I thought was tasteless and very dry. I probably would not care to go back.

    I had to send my gumbo back 3 times before I got heated bowl, & the chicken I ordered tasted like it had sat a while before being served, I've gone here several times, & tonight was the first time experiencing a problem of this sort

    During restaurant week we made a reservation of 6. Service was very slow, however it was at capacity. We had to wait over 15 minutes to get drinks and we ran out of water. Food was ok but not amazing. The gumbo was like a beef stew and wouldn't recommend.

    We had a wonderful experience! What a nice new discovery. Our server was excellent, and most of the food was too. My husband enjoyed his steak, but his Brussels sprouts were kind of soggy and disappointing. Everything else was pretty yummy.
