   Overpriced drinks and underwhelming food proportions. Their green Regina tastes more like green goddess,absolutely no sesame flavor. This place is overrated.

   I have been to both Venice and WeHo locations. Both have a lovely aesthetic. This most recent visit, on Venice, was relaxed and we had yummy food. We had to wait a bit for our table so they gave us a free juice flight. The Passionfruit juice was my favorite but a lot of good ones! I had the Butchers Burger, and was surprised how tasty it was. Also at the table was the grain bowl, daily soup and kale salad. All were good!

   Pretty good for vegetarian food. It was easy to make a reservation and we didn’t have to wait for our table. Pizza was delicious

   A Bittersweet Dinner at the Butcher's Daughter On Halloween evening, October 31, 2024, at approximately 5:30 PM, I visited the Butcher’s Daughter in Venice, California, a restaurant I've long admired for its innovative plant-based cuisine. I had been particularly eager to savor their renowned vegan Cauliflower Steak. In anticipation of my visit, I even took the extra step of messaging the restaurant through OpenTable to confirm its availability. While they did not respond, I remained hopeful. Upon arriving, I was extremely disappointed, disheartened, and saddened to discover that the Cauliflower Steak had been removed from the menu. It was a huge disappointment! Despite this setback, the staff at the Butcher’s Daughter, for instance, my server Marian B., did a good job. I want to especially give a special shoutout to Ashlee, the manager. Ashlee was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and professional. She truly is an asset to the restaurant. Ashlee expressed sincere apologies for the menu change and recommended the Fall Vegetable Yellow Curry, a delightful dish featuring fried tofu, forbidden rice, salsify, brussels sprouts, and squash. The tofu was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful interior. The sweetness of the squash balanced the earthy flavors of the salsify, creating a harmonious blend of tastes and textures. I must say, this dish was a pleasant surprise and has now become one of my favorites. I likely wouldn't have tried it had it not been for the absence of the Cauliflower Steak. The vegan Daily Soup, a seasonal market vegetable soup served with toasted sourdough bread, was also a comforting and flavorful choice. To round out the meal, I indulged in the vegan Sweet Potato Pizza, topped with a creamy cashew ricotta and crispy Brussels sprouts. The spiciness of the chili added a delightful kick to the sweet potato, and the creamy cashew ricotta provided a rich and satisfying contrast. While the food was delicious, the absence of

   Could not be nicer people, cuter spot, or better food! We were welcomed by Ashley - and she was so cool and fun, and got us a great table. Our server was Kayla-she was so nice, and also very helpful with suggestions. The food was delicious - she did not steer us wrong. We closed the place down, and they never rushed us at all Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back!

   Always a great option for a firs date, gathering of friends(last visit), birthday meal. I love the tapas style starters. I usually order 3 or 4 of them and one entree. It keeps things loose. If you can’t get a booth, sit on the cushion side against the wall as the stills aren’t too comfy but, you’re in for a great experience. Friendly staff and excellent drinks. Specially the coffee bar ones. London Fog is a great tea based option which I always order. The hearts of palm ceviche, cauliflower cacio & pepe, mushroom calamari and burrata are my favorite starters. Their pizzas are excellent and the mushroom is always a gave.
