   Restaurant was lovely. Food very good and service excellent, Little issue with the bill as it wasn’t marked against our room that dinner allowance was included. This was all sorted next day. Joe went above and beyond for us

   We dined early as it was a pre theatre dinner. Restaurant therefore very quiet, only 3 other diners. Slight disruption outside from a couple of youths tapping on the windows but they were ignored and eventually got bored. Food delicious and well presented. Smallish portions but very tasty. Friendly, polite service. Everything spotless. Maybe a little expensive for size of portions but would still recommend as overall experience good.

   Beautiful building, nice ambience. Courteous staff welcomed us. Had the Sunday Roast, two of us the Beef, two the Chicken. Lovely food, good portions and very tasty. Recommended.

   Absolutely one of the best places I have been in a long time, the staff were amazing, it was my partners birthday they made it so special, the hotel itself was beautiful, clean and true to its character we absolutely and was guttered we had to leave early as we had a family emergency. We will 100% be back, every part of it was lovely the Spa just tops it off. Thank you

   Bread platter was enough for two and so was the cheese and biscuits. Husband had the fillet steak which was cooked how he liked it and I had the lamb also excellent. Service very good with happy smiling people. Would definitely eat there again if in the area.

   Didn’t feel the food and service reflected the prices. Basic menu. The steaks were lovely and perfectly cooked and the peppercorn sauce amazing, however you have to pay extra for chips. Overall we felt it was 4* prices but 2-3* quality and servic

    We (party of 4) had the pre theatre dinner between 5 - 6.30pm, therefore the restaurant was very quiet. There were plenty of staff milling around, but they were not proactive or attentive, they remained in a cluster around the serving area. My starter didn't arrive with everyone else's, and I had to wait about 5 minutes for it - I kept waving at the waiter to alert the situation, but he ignored me. This wait was unforgivable: we had ordered 3 cold starters and 1 hot - and mine was a cold one - so there was really no excuse for the delay. No one came to ask us how our food was, or to see if we wanted more drinks, or to clear glasses from the table - the staff remained around the service area talking to each other. Very inefficient and unprofessional service. Also, when we started to order from the pre-theatre dinner, the waiter told us it was unavailable! I protested that we had booked the pre-theatre dinner.... at which point he decided it was available after all. Astonishingly bad service!! On the plus side, the food was very nice.
