The Canteen is a full-service neighbourhood restaurant in Downtown Dartmouth, serving up chef-inspired seasonal fare for lunch, brunch and dinner. At the helm in the kitchen is award-winning chef and co-owner Renee Lavallee.     Really enjoyed our brunch. The wait staff were.friendly and attentive. We all loved our brunch selections. Definitely planning on returning to try lunch and dinner menus.

    Double brunch date with friends. Ambience is perfect. Food was great as usual. Our server Elizabeth D was top notch. Very personable, patient, and attentive. That's why it's hard to get a table, everything is just right.

    Walked into the smell of fresh baked biscuits and bread. The Canteen never disappoints - great food, great service and always a great soundtrack of background music.

    Had a great meal out for date night! Such nice ambience, despite being busy. We really enjoyed the harissa cauliflower and the carrot cake dessert! Our server was exceptional and we will definitely be back soon.

    We had an excellent experience at the canteen last night! The food is excellent and made with clearly high quality ingredients, and our server was quite lovely. The highlight of our meal was the flash fried brussels sprouts, which left us speechless for several minutes.
