Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     My wife and I attended the Wagyu and Wine event which we look forward to every year. The burgers and fries are some of the best Atlanta has to offer and we often order extra to take home. The Duckhorn wine pairings are also delicious. We normally sit in the lounge for this event in order to enjoy the interaction with staff and patrons. Oddly for this visit where we sat at the bar, the service was cold and distant despite a light workload. We often sat with empty wine glasses while entrees arrived before we finished our appetizer. There was no reason to rush. One of the two bartenders, I will not mention his name, never uttered a word to us during our 2 hour dinner. He served us during a previous visit and was a completely different person. Everyone has an off night but this evening was a complete bust on the service side. The Managing Partner Melissa Ward did compensate us for a less than stellar appetizer and apologized for the inadequate service. While I still recommend the food at The Capital Grill I recommend promptly reaching out to management if your dining experience is not up to par.
