   My husband and I (who live out of town) made reservations in early January for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had selected several dishes on the restaurant’s online dinner menu that we wanted to try, but when we arrived to our reservation, we found out that they had a limited-option/increased-price Valentine’s menu, which was not posted on their website and did not include a fish option as an entrée. They also did not have any specials. Service was mediocre; the entrées that we did get were very good, but the overall experience was not what we had hoped for. We were seated in a back room of the restaurant which felt more like a patio than the main dining room. Overall we were disappointed with the cost of the meal and the experience we had.

   Absolutely wonderful. Belinda waited on us and was a gem. Entire experience was great. Our first time there and will definitely make it back

   Such a wonderful time at The Pub at The Castle. We felt like friends amongst friends. Great atmosphere, food. And friendly staff that felt like family.

   I do not normally leave a poor review but since the server never asked how our food or experience was during the meal this is the only place that seems appropriate. We had 6:45 dinner reservations for four and the restaurant was not very busy. After being seated we waited approximately 10 minutes to be acknowledged and water brought to the table. When a restaurant is not busy this is not acceptable in my opinion. In fact another table was seated after us and received service before us. I ordered a cocktail and the brand alcohol I asked for was not available, which is fine so I asked the server what else the bar had and she could. It tell me so I had to recite other bourbons until she could remember one that was in stock. The cocktail once received was good. A member of our party then ordered the same cocktail and it took so long to receive it ( after we had to ask about it) that it was watered down since it sat so long. The salads ordered were all very good and were delivered in a timely manner. We all ordered the special ‘Blackend Snapper over angel hair pasta with a cream sauce’. When this was delivered 2 of the three orders of fish left us wondering if it was even snapper. The fish was not flakey and was very tough. I thought it might have been garfish it was so tough. Only one of those entrees had a fish that tasted like and resembled snapper. We were very disappointed. The server never checked on us during the meal. If she had I would have told her. The pasta was very good. We ordered 2 desserts chocolate crème brûlée and white chocolate bread pudding. The crème brûlée was delicious and the bread pudding left us wanting. We received the bill and paid. My wife said how disappointed she was and told me that she does not wish to return. This is our second visit to the castle. The first was great. How disappointing

   The atmosphere was amazing. The service was great. The food quality was not the best, but we are food snobs. The prime rib was cold and lacking flavor. The snapper was overcooked but well portioned. The Caesar salad dressing was pure mayo and the worst I’ve ever had. The Rockefeller oysters were adequate but not worth the price. We will visit again, but avoid certain things on the menu.

    Wonderful experience dining at The Castle for New Years Eve! Ashley was a wonderful server - very attentive and engaging! We split the crab cake appetizer and both dined on the prime rib! It was delicious! For dessert we had the crème brûlée and truffles. Again delicious! Fantastic cocktails and wine selection. Great fine dining in Natchez!
