   The Charles is a beautiful restaurant. They have a speakeasy area also for dining, which was where we were seated. The food was outstanding and had a lot of options without pork which is our restriction. The manager was really nice and met with us to congratulate us on our anniversary. He offered a free dessert, but our waitress did not follow through on his offer for us. It felt a bit awkward to say something, so we just accepted what occurred. We did feel a bit of an awkward vibe from our waitress who was more interested in a couple in front of us, but I guess they connected more personally than we did. We loved the overall experience, but this part regarding the dessert offer from the manager and our waitress who didn’t follow through was something a bit awkward, and more awkward to speak on in the moment.

   When we first got there the music was really loud. They put it down eventually I assume another guest might I have asked them to do so. The employees are outstanding from the hostess, the people bringing out food, the sommelier, the manager and the waitress. Our server was Winter. She was very knowledgeable about the wine on the menu and very good about describing certain things on the menu. Service is a 10 at The Charles. The portions of food are not real big and it could be said a bit expensive for what you get. Overall, I would recommend as it is a very pleasant experience. Only negative was the loud music and that was not a big deal.

   Lovely dinner. Food was great. Atmosphere fun. Wanted a buttery white by the glass but no such luck. All in all, fun evening ❤️

   The food was executed well but is chef driven... Meaning creative but not traditional flavors. Some of the things we tried were excellent and others were just weird. I'd say it was more Greek style than Italian.

   Just great service, fantastic bar selections, and each of our dishes was excellent. Only real complaint would be that the wine list doesn't have many 'value' choices. Of the 100-ish (red) bottle list there were maybe a dozen+ bottles (of red) under $100. Having said that the Brunello we ordered was just excellent. It appears to be a well curated list. I can't stop thinking about the pastas frankly. May have to try to replicate them at home. Will be back as there were many dishes I wanted to try but could not.

   We had a truly wonderful evening, thanks to the exceptional service from the entire staff. From the valet to the wait staff, everyone was outstanding – friendly, accommodating, and a true pleasure to interact with. The food was fantastic, and the gluten-free pasta was particularly amazing.     The Charles has the BEST Customer Service, hands down! EVERYONE was super polite, attentive, engaging and personable. Our server, Chelsey, gave the best feedback, learned our names, and even took beautiful pics for us. She's awesome & if she's a trainer for The Charles, then I know more wonderful servers will be produced. The ambiance was gorgeous, nice music, just the right amount of light, and the food was very flavorful. The "off the menu" items were delicious, especially the specialty pasta one of the young ladies made. Definitely a place to try!
