The Clare Castle Port Melbourne is one of Melbourne's finest pub restaurants. Pub classics are a feature but we raise the bar with amazing char grilled steaks, incredible seafood including prawns, beautiful fresh fish, freshly shucked oysters and our signature Moreton Bay bugs available in numerous dishes. We also have vegetarian and gluten free options and many other delights.

We offer multiple dining options: FULL SERVICE in the Restaurant and on the Restaurant Terrace. BAR SERVICE (and optional QR code ordering) in the Bar and on the footpath tables. We also have a fabulous private wine room for your special occasion (please ring to enquire about this room).

    Excellent experience. Staff were efficient and attentive. Menu was extremely diverse, but reasonably priced, including kids good and drinks as well as adults. No pressure to leave early either

    Group of ten for Sunday roast. The beef and the pork were top notch and true roast vegetables. We have very much enjoyed 4 visits now to the hotel and so impressed with food and service.

    Great place for dinner. Food delicious, wine was a smidge on the pricey side, but it was open on a Monday night for a last minute dinner with friends. Absolutely no complaints.

    We love the Clare!!! We had another awesome meal there. The steaks are on point- my hubby rates them as the best in Melbourne. The only other close contender is significantly more expensive!!!! Personally, I had the new to the menu rack of lamb. Oh my goodness - so delicious, it will be my new go to dish. However, there’s a lot to love on this menu - you are sure to find something to tantalise!!

    We arrived early to ensure a Sunday Roast. The food delivery was slow, but it was worth the wait. The pork roast was yummy. Make sure you like peas!
