Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere but okayish (poor) service, and the food was okay - We had to send one plate back because it was very cold. Server took it off the ticket though, so that was very nice of them. Overall great ambience, but not somewhere I'd go for a great meal. However, we only tried a couple of things. So many menu options I'm sure some are worth trying.

He food was delicious. The beet salad was perfection. I had the lobster gnocchi, it was well worth the price. My companion had the short rib sandwich which he throughly enjoyed. The decor is very nice. Wonderful experience. We will definitely return.

What a wonderful dining experience! From the food/drinks, service and ambience, it was all wonderful. How cute it was walking through the lounge bar area with the fireplace going and the piano playing during the holiday. Such a vibe! We will definitely be returning! My only suggestions are the wicker dining chairs and how close some of the tables are together. The chairs are cute but not for comfort and honestly in my opinion not for indoor dining. My husband is an average size man and he said the chairs were not comfortable for him. They lean back a little too much and the armrests are too narrow. Our server did let us swap our chairs with sturdier ones and they were better but they did not have grips at the bottom so they were very slippery. The table next to us saw we were swapping chairs and they also swapped their chairs out. The tables are so close that you can hear the other table's conversation easily. Other than that, it was all fabulous!

My group and I had a very nice experience at The Colonel's Club overall. The ambience is the greatest selling factor--the lounge area is particularly special. My biggest reasoning for not rating it higher overall was because of the menu not including any vegetarian entrees or even entrees that could easily be made vegetarian. I alerted the executive chef two days in advance that we would have a vegetarian in our group and that they would like a protein option (e.g., eggs, cheese, quinoa, lentils, chickpeas, etc.), not just an assortment of vegetables. When checking with our waiter, we were told the option off-menu was pasta with roasted vegetables. It is surprising to me that a restaurant of this caliber (and price point) would not have an interesting main course option, including a protein, on the menu, but even more so that something more interesting, including a protein, was not offered off-menu. The food we ordered was all very tasty and thoughtfully prepared, but a thoughtful vegetarian option should be included on the menu.

Overall the experience was very good. Service was excellent, atmosphere was top shelf. Appetizers were very good, French Onion soup was great. Entrees were not quite as good. They were not up to the level of everything else. Definitely worth another visit, perhaps at brunch.
