The Commoner in Downtown Pittsburgh is open for business!

At our gastropub, we don’t distinguish between commoners and kings; we just want to feed the good people of Pittsburgh. In the restaurant, seasonal menus add a modern flair to classic comforts, complemented by a robust selection of local beers and craft spirits. It’s all served in an industrial-inspired setting in downtown Pittsburgh. Come and join us for an uncommonly good time.

We had a delicious dinner here tonight! We tried the Focaccia app and the beet salad…they were both amazing. We actually had 2 beet salads because 1 just wasn’t enough! The 3 entrees my party ordered were the Salmon, Chicken and Pork dishes…all were wonderful. The presentation was beautiful and they were very tasty! We ended the evening with the Cheesecake dessert to share, since we were all pretty full. It was amazing! Our server Tyler B. is the name I believe was listed on our bill…he was great! He was very attentive, nice and professional. He noticed when our drinks were getting low and brought out refills without us even asking. We dine out often and that hardly ever happens! The only thing that I wish was presented to us was that some things on the lunch menu were available. We saw a table near us get served a delicious looking burger and fries and my son would have loved to have tried that over the pork. Next time though! We will be in the area every 6 weeks for the next 5 years and this will definitely be a go-to spot for us!

It’s not a Caesar salad if there are no anchovies! Noisy!

Get the sausage Pattie’s. They are delicious. Crab omelette and frittata were also delicious.

Best Chicken in Waffles I’ve ever eaten! Light and crispy waffles but not dry and amazing flavor. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The Bloody Larry cocktail was “ok” but the coffee was wonderful!

Everytime I go here the food is excellent. I’ve had the breakfast sandwich, eggs Benedict, and most recently the salmon bagel. Everything has been a 10/10. The “Bloody Larry” is the best Bloody Mary in the city.
