   We arrived promptly for our 630 reservation and were told the restaurant had been “slammed”and there would be a wait…how can they get slammed if they take reservations? After almost a half hour wait  standing around, I decided to take a cruise through the restaurant and spotted a table for two set up and ready to go. I went back to the hostesses asked them why couldn’t we sit there? They said that we could and said, I guess we had found it before they did! I thought finding a table was their job not mine. A waiter eventually came by and took our order … after waiting for a while for it to arrive, he came back and told us they had sold out of one of the two dishes we had ordered. You would think when the order was placed, they would know they had sold out? Once we finished our meal and again waited for quite a while…They finally came by and we ordered tiramisu to go and asked for our check. Someone came by and delivered the takeout dessert without a check and I asked them to please find out what was going on with our bill. After another long wait our waiter came by and asked us if we were ready to pay the bill. He wasn’t aware that we had already asked for it. I told him we were waiting for it, and he said someone had said we were already taken care of. In a discussion with the waiter, we asked what had changed because we had been there a couple of years before, and he pointed out the physical changes and that the restaurant had been sold to the French noting that he meant the French in France and that the new owners were still in France. Apparently this is an example of absentee ownership … based on this experience, we would never go back and certainly wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to anyone. I would recommend the French owners come over and eat a couple of meals incognito to see what’s going on.

   Mahi-Mahi and scallops are delicious! Service was excellent! We will definitely frequent this restaurant.

   The Cooper is a great place: casual, but not shabby. The food is excellent. Our wait staff, 2 young women, took great care of us...helpful, all smiles, good recommendations...they really made the night for us! Highly recommend!

   Haven’t been back a while. The quality left much to be desired. I used to go there a few years ago. Not the same feel. I asked for the soup of the day and was told they only had a cup or bowl left over from last night. Would I return for lunch or dinner, No.

   Food is always delicious here. Our server was more than pleasant and helpful. Since I've been to The Cooper many times and keep returning, I obviously highly recommend it.

   Unfortunately, we don’t have a great experience. We used to love the place several years ago, but it’s not the same. Our appetizer could have been warmer, main dishes took almost an hour to come out, steak was overcooked, and service was very slow. We will not be returning.

   Restaurant has leveled up since prior ownership. Quality of food is outstanding, the new french management have turned this place around. We will be going back !
