   Our first visit to Erie, PA and we chose The Cork 1794 as our choice to dine. We were greeted nicely, and seated promptly at our reservation time. The server took a few extra minutes before taking our drink order, but was pleasant and explained the specials nicely. Our drinks and appetizer arrived timely. However, our entree order took well over 40 minutes to arrive, and one had obviously been sitting for a while. With the open kitchen we actually watched them attempt to "heat up" my wife's salmon with a blowtorch before coming to the table. We asked the delivery person (not our server) if that was standard practice and was the dish sitting for long (we guessed based on how long it had taken), she sort of denied that was typical, but also sort of admitted it. Well - we can tell you for the expediting manager to do that, he was successful at heating the top of the salmon slightly but the rest was lukewarm and the rice underneath was stone cold. It was clear it had sat for a while. For the prices paid for this entrees, not only was this unacceptable but they obviously knew to pull out the blowtorch and even admit it when we said. We ate since we had lost more time for our evening . The server did come to the table eventually and when we told her, she mentioned the kitchen was having issues that night, and then offered us desserts to go which we politely refused. The expediter that night knew and chose to send a sub-par dish, and should be discussed with him. The server not at fault, got a decent tip, but we will not be back. Too bad as we had such a good start, but they need to chat with their staff about quality, esp at the prices they charge. I don't mind paying for finer dining, but i expect warmer food than one can get at Applebees for less than half the price.

   The Smokey old fashioned was very good. I had 3 of them. They have a very welcoming bar staff. The burger was good, but I ordered it medium and it came out Well done. I would probably do away with the arugula. It doesn’t really go with the burger. I got a side of brussels sprouts they were pretty good. They could’ve been a little bit more crispy. I was told they were crispy, but they weren’t very crispy. overall, it was a good experience. I will probably come back Mostly for the happy hour.

   We had a reservation and still had to wait. Once we got a table 1/2 late we then waited 45 minutes for food. Our waiter was only semi attentive and took 20 to get more drinks. The food was good and they did take the app off - but still over all for the price I would expect better organization

   Wonderful experience! Our waitress was attentive and so friendly! The Delmonico with the garlic Parmesan crust was one of the best steaks I have ever had! We will be back !

    We went to celebrate our birthdays, and the Cork did not disappoint! My husband started with a Manhattan, which he gave 5 stars! The fire cracker shrimp appetizer was yummy, as was the Caesar salad. Our entrées were presented beautifully, and were delicious. And, as an unexpected birthday surprise, we were treated to crème brûlée! The staff was attentive, and the timing of the courses being served was perfect.
