   Beautiful setting,food was outstanding,drinks were fantastic,especially the old fashioned cocktail ( one of the best I've had) oxtail starter with duck egg was soooo good, we shared the lamb rack 10/10 and of course dessert( the invisible sticky toffee pudding (magic). The quartet that played as we had food were just brilliant my wife and I loved the vibe from the singer and the musicians.Would highly recommend going for a great meal and a relaxing evening.

   We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at The Court at the Caledonian Hotel, and it was perfect! From the complimentary champagne to the exquisite prawn salad, salmon starters, the Beef Wellington, and the delightful “invisible” sticky toffee pudding, every bite was divine. Live music added to the magic. Special thanks to Nitin for his exceptional care. Highly recommend!

   My friend enjoys her steak frites. I had battered haddock and chips. I ate some of it but told waitress both fish and chips were overcooked. She asked if I wanted something else but didn’t really. However nothing was taken of bill and not even given a complimentary coffee. I will certainly not receive the Court

   This was our group's first visit since the makeover and we were all throughly impressed. The addition of meals makes a huge difference. We were all commenting on how good the food was and that The Caledonian Hotel had decided not to go down the cordon-bleu, hugely expensive route. The food choices were excellent, the prices comparable to other local restaurants and the preparation was top notch. In particular, the steak frites meal and fish and chips were declared to be excellent. The service from the ladies and gents who look after us was very good and we weren't left unattended at any point. We all said how much we liked the layout in the room itself. The table seating is comfortable and we didn't feel like we were hemmed in next to other diners. It was busy - due to a big rugby match the next day, but the noise levels were manageable. We still managed to enjoy the harpist and the jazz musicians, all whom were fantastic. We had booked a section within the lounge area in the same room after our meal, which meant we could continue to relax and enjoy our chat and the ambience. Well done Caley. I would recommend this to anyone looking for good food in a lovely setting.
