This place was a pleasant surprise in several ways. First if you are agonizing whether to dine at Dotted Line or drink cocktails at Yours Truly- don’t worry they are essentially two ends of the same lobby. And when we were seated we were given menus for both. Second, I was expecting typical hotel lobby kind of food and this was significantly better than that. I enjoyed the Margherita Flatbread and the Lobster Roll while my wife enjoyed the restaurant week fixed price menu- Caesar salad, pasta bolognese and panna cotta. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Service was attentive and our dinner got us validated valet parking til 11pm. Our ticket for the Hawaii Theater got us 10% off dinner. Overall a great place to kill some time and enjoy a meal in the heart of downtown. We will be back

A nice surprise excellent food in a hotel restaurant. All staff members were very attentive and friendly as they wanted to make sure we had a positive dining experience. Our server Ken was excellent in giving us food and alcohol recommendations. Her periodically checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The restaurant has dry nice atmosphere and decor was trendy and comfortable. My friend and I chose items from the “restaurant week” specials, pasta bolognese and classic Cesar salad. Both very flavorful and the salad was fresh and crisp. The Sauvignon Blanc (Andis) was an excellent pairing with the meal, not sweet, but even balanced. I had their Prosecco (Zarin) which tasted as a lower quality Prosecco, but their Sauvignon Blanc made up for it. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to go again as their regular menu offers a variety of food that would please all palates.

Visited restaurant during restaurant week for their 3 course prix fixe menu on a Sunday at 7:30 PM. SERVICE: On the floor was the bartender tending those sitting at the bar only, 1 server (friendly) and 1 helper. Unsure if the restaurant didn't expect to be that busy, but service took a while. DRINKS: Unsure what as I couldn’t hear but most of the beers on tap was unavailable. I got the wine pairing with my meal and one wine they switched it from what was listed without informing me prior to serving. Reasoning was because they were out of that specific wine. FOOD: Main was terrible. Caesar salad (2x): really good Alfredo (2x): I wanted lobster they were out. Our dish did not look as pictured or like other diners. It was missing the sautéed garlic and chives topping. Texture of noodles were inconsistent. Some parts were soft and some uncooked. Tasted like those prepackaged heat on the stove dinners. Dessert: I liked the Panna cotta. Other half initially wanted the pot de creme, but they were also out of that.

This was my first time to The Dotted Line and it exceeded my expectations. We were greeted promptly and the bartender was kind enough to accommodate the five of us in the dining area. The happy hour prices (until 6 pm) were reasonable and the service was great. We ordered several different dishes to share. Everything tasted great except the steak was very tough. We ordered two and ended up sending one of them back. Our server apologized and took them off our tab. If you work downtown and want a place to chill after work, you gotta check out The Dotted Line!

The selection on the menu was perfect. I had the chicken tacos and soup of the day. The portions were perfect. I have a small appetite. My guest had the Ban Mien sandwich. It was huge! He had it with the truffle fries. The fries were so good. They weren't the skinny kind. The fires were crispy, and you could taste the truffle without it being overpowering. Not too many places in Downtown Honolulu for sit down, served. This place I recommend.

I have to assume the kitchen was preparing food for the entire hotel, although I thought they had more than one restaurant in the place, because neither the restaurant or lounge was full and it took 50 minutes to get our order. We had planned a leisurely dinner then take our time getting to the Hawaii Theater since one of us had some mobility issues, but that didn't happen. We had to eat fast and rush to get to our seats on time. Fortunately the food was good, and the lady serving us was doing her best, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make us want to come back.
