The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

    Very good service. Ambience good - busy enough for atmosphere. Food mixed. My husband's main was very good; mine was good, but rather small piece of fish with large serving of fennel. Pudding (sticky toffee) was hard - appeared to have been overcooked in microwave. Staff handled this well, but would much prefer not to have to complain.

    Our first time at the Drumming Snipe. Morgan greeted us and was very attentive and friendly. She anticipated what we might need and checked all was ok throughout the meal. Thank you Morgan! Food choices were interesting and nicely served. Several of us had Sticky Toffee Pudding. It tasted delicious but sadly the texture was like rubber - and tricky to cut with a spoon! Perhaps get a different supplier for this pudding, as it let down an otherwise lovely meal.

    Excellent day boat fish and chips - the best in Surrey. Beautifully crispy batter and crunchy chips.

    Main waiter serving table was good. Seriously let down by the kitchen. Starters arrived in cold dishes put in middle of the table (not main waiter). For the mains, meat arrived on cool plates with gravy, next cauliflower cheese and extra pigs in blankets. We then waited over 5 minutes for main veg. Meat had got cold, requested extra gravy to heat up meal. Roast potatoes arrived a further 5 minutes later white and not good. Meat was returned to kitchen and replaced with hot meat on another cool plate. Other than potatoes the food was nice. Don't understand why kitchen would send meat without veg and 10 minutes before the final components were ready! A single meal became multiple courses. Disappointing won't be returning for food have been 4 time and always there's a food issue. We won't be returning again unless it's just for a drink. Roast dinner should be easy, certainly for a qualified chef.
