We had booked on a Sunday for a Sunday roast so we’re very disappointed to find when we arrived that you had completely run out of them. The remaining choice was limited and we all ended up with burgers! The burgers arrived on tiny thin plates which were too small meant every time I tried to fork chips off my plate a number of them ended up overflowing onto the table. (Not all of us want to eat with our fingers!) The chicken burger was bordering on burnt. Staff were very friendly and service was good. Have been coming to The Dun Cow for many years and had only been saying to the friends we had brought alone that we had never had anything but great food, so feeling a bit let down this time but no doubt we’ll try again in due course.

Cosy corner table. Great for our dog! Sunday roast did not disappoint. Waitress really happy to accommodate my request to swap fish. Delicious. Great presentation. Super friendly staff. Loved the bustling atmosphere and efficient service. Would definitely recommend this charming old style pub with food.

Great atmosphere, nice setting, table too small for 2 people with chairs next to each other rather than opposite, my steak was fantastic, apart from being absolutely drenched in way too much butter, only had fries and a leaf salad with it, that’s not enough, messed up our drinks order, recovered it well though. Would try again to see if it gets better though.

We had another fantastic lunch today at the Dun Cow. My family has eaten there several times and they are consistently really good and very accommodating. A gem of a pub, fantastic location and lovely, warm staff.
