Led by a team of lifelong Chicago restaurant figures, The Evie is a locally-owned upscale dining destination located at the heart of the Magnificent Mile. Led by Partner George Archos (Wildberry Café), Chef-Partner Nick Nitti (Forno Rosso, Lucia Rose, Cucina 3 Italian), and Executive Chef Phil Rubino (Spiaggia, L2O, Cicchetti), the restaurant provides city locals and visitors a place to unwind and indulge while overlooking iconic Michigan Avenue. Named after George’s mother and daughter, the concept puts family at the forefront, with an emphasis on warm, Midwestern hospitality.

Evie offers full lunch/dinner and weekend brunch, presenting a menu of reimagined American classics and city favorites, spotlighting dishes like chef-crafted sushi rolls, freshly baked breads, Chicago-style Wagyu hotdogs, and USDA prime steaks.     Three of us all had the Corp Special. Nice deal. Jesus our server was wonderful, patient and attentive without being intrusive.

    Sadly, sOpenTable did not give me any points for this visit. I am quite disappointed in that. I expect better service from OpenTable. The restaurant was fine and I enjoyed my meal. I am disappointed in the way OpenTable has changed over the years and diminish the returns on both my visits as well as communication. I will probably switch to Resy or Tock or another service as OpenTable has lost its edge.

    I don't understand why this restaurant has good ratings on Google. The grilled cheese for kids was made with Kraft slices. The fries also had pepper on them, which is spicy for kids. The prime rib eggs or subpar. The only good dish was the sushi that I ate. I most likely won't be going back there again, given that there are so many other better restaurants in the city.
