The Fifty-Niner is a one-of-a-kind experience in Colorado Springs. It is the only hidden speakeasy game cafe in the City and quite possibly the state. You will book a 2 hr time block for your table and select a game from our extensive board game library. Then, you just sit, sip, munch and play the old fashioned way.

PLEASE NOTE: There is limited availability for seating/reservations during Springs Ensemble Theatre rehearsals and performance dates. These times will be different than usual business hours and will reflect the times that you are able to book a reservation and may not include a full 2 hr time block.
We now have alternate/overflow seating in the game store, so you will still be able to book a reservation for this space when the back is not available.
For a full list of performance times or to purchase show tickets ahead of time, please visit springsensembletheatre.org. If you have a pre-purchased ticket for a show, you do not need to book a reservation ahead of time.

Laid back atmosphere, great food, and great service. Small place but fit our party of 8 just fine. We had a great time drinking, eating, and playing board games they provided. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a fun game night with friends and family.

Not what we expected out of a "speakeasy". It was really more of a game room where you can order food and drink in the back of a game store. We had to have reservations though about 3/4 of the tables were empty. The lighting is very bright. I would not describe this as a speakeasy at all.

Way cool bar located in the back of an establishment I NEVER had plans to step into- what a waste of time/how silly I've been! I was delighted to find this multi faceted business' offerings- delicious cocktails and mocktails, ice cream, and a welcoming atmosphere for all. Our server was a statuesque, lovely brunette- I didn't catch her name, but she was also attired in what had to be the coolest outfit I'd seen in a while. Especially for COS. She was attentive (but not overbearing) and made our mocktails with perfectly delicious precision. On my way out, I noted that there are themed nights and performances galore, outside of games. I'll be back.

I went here for a comedy show with my friends and I had a great time! The servers were very personable and easy-going. It felt like we were just hanging out with other friends the whole night!

The setting was fine, but coming earlier in the night we knew it was going to be pretty quiet and slow, not the typical vibe for a bar. We were disappointed in the pricing of our food, which still left us pretty hungry, by the games offered, which were not well-kept and many were missing valuable pieces like pens, papers, and erasers. Our dishes were not exactly clean, my drink had a lipstick stain on the rim, our plates had grubby marks, and my friend’s cup had leftover residue from a previous drink. It was a fine experience overall, we had a good time together and service was decently attentive, but I don’t think we would come back.

Different and fun. The staff is great. Eclectic holiday menu and favorites, exceptionally prepared. Drinks are excellent. The other diners were fun as well, great atmosphere if a bit Diablo-like decor. Will definitely return soon for more great food and fun.
