   Honestly was expecting more from our dinner after reading reviews on Open Table and Google. We were greeted with a smile at the host stand (5-Stars) and had a warm welcome from our Server, Kori B, who was so nice and upbeat. We ordered the meatball appetizer and volcano shrimp and the appetizers were really good (solid 4 stars). My wife had the chicken fried chicken and I had the Prime Rib. The two areas that impacted the food rating was that the Prime Rib was overcooked and unlike any I’ve ever had. It was chewy and seemed like it had been cooked previously and possibly reheated because the outer pieces of the meat were well done. In fairness, I did not complain and I ate what I could, but this was not better than “good” and that’s generous on Prime Rib. Also, after we had our first round of drinks (I had an Old Fashioned), the second drink I had was not made the same (or as well) as the first which was really good. I would expect more consistency from this place given its amazing ratings. My wife did enjoy her meal and I would likely give the food 4+ stars had it just been her entree and the appetizers. The last part for a lower than expected rating was just the pause we experienced in service, waiting for the 2nd round of drinks and for a water refill that did not happen. Perhaps this was just out of the ordinary, based on the overall ratings The Finch receives but it was sort of a buyer’s remorse experience for us.

   We went for brunch and one of us got the breakfast sandwich and the other the French toast. Both were good, but the French toast was really good!

   We live in the Gulch and this was our first time at the Finch. Loved it, food was really good and pricing is very good compared to other restaurants in the area. I ordered the Martini flight. The drinks were ok, not great but glad I tried it. The Cowboy Casserole starter was soooo good. I had the fried chicken cobb salad. It was a great sized portion and very tasty. My husband had the Brentwood chicken sandwich and said it was very good. We are already talking about what we want to order next time we go back.

   A really fabulous dinner experience celebrating a milestone birthday while traveling in Nashville. The menu offers something for everyone - all of it delicious - and the staff was so warm and friendly. I loved the Mini Martini flight that gave me a chance to try 3 different martinis without committing the three regular sized drinks (that would’ve had me three sheets to the wind, ha). Excellent filet mignon, short rib, whipped potatoes, and cowboy queso. Delicious peanut butter chocolate cheesecake for dessert with a sparkler to celebrate the birthday. Absolutely do recommend and will happily return upon future trips to Nashville.

   A lot of energy in the place. Food was ok, was expecting more. Service ok, could have been more attentive (but they were coving a large area).
