   I had decided I wasn’t in the mood for chips that evening so picked two starters to have together, some very nice mussels and some very nice spicy prawns with a little bit of samphire and mix and match. It was an excellent overall meal the Staff cheerful and attentive But sadly the place is rather noisy and raucous and the toilets are rather peculiarly placed so to be a little disconcerting. If you want a party atmosphere, I would certainly eat there again but will probably choose somewhere a little quieter for a more intimate evening

   Fish and chips were absolutely incredible here, probably the best I have ever tasted. Just delicious. A good-sized portion. Service was friendly and on point. Had a great meal all in all

   Food was excellent nice atmosphere and it was new years eve. Service was good, nice polite staff. And nicely turned out in there uniforms

   Whenever I’m in Whitby the fishermens wife is always the first place I book.I think this was the 3rd time of visiting.

   A tad disappointed. We’ve been visiting since it was Graveleys and don’t think the exotics is quite as good as it used to be. Service was great but the food doesn’t compare with the magpie, the menu is limited, and the prices high. A good alternative to the magpie if you don’t want to queue, but not the best fish and chips.

    Excellent fish & chip choice in Whitby which is so mega full of alternatives & sometimes hard to choose . It has a lovely view of the sea& Sandsend Perfect for my family as my DH does not like fried fish so there are alternatives.
