The Fox and Hounds is a gastro pub and restaurant, nestling in the heart of the beautiful village of Whittlebury, South Northamptonshire. We’re just a stone’s throw from the home of motor sport – Silverstone – and close to the market towns of Towcester, Brackley and Buckingham.

Inside, the team have created a comfortable and welcoming environment, perfect for you to relax, socialise, eat and unwind. Open to the whole family.

    Lovely nibbles to share (onion bhajis especially great, whitebait tasty and generous portion). Mains were excellent in terms of taste, range, well cooked etc. Only downside was the sea bream fish fillet - portion was on the small side (not really made up for by the masses of potato salad it came with)! By contrast the pie and mash was enormous! One of group had pork belly which was the most formal sized dish at the table and said that was really tasty. All were delicious. We overdid the nibbles and hadn’t got room for dessert but the selection was tempting. Staff were young and not the most “on it” (asked for bill twice), but were polite and friendly, food came hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was relaxed pub environment with very good food.

    Great food and just as good service. Massive portions and unusually for pub food it was piping hot! Can’t fault it and will definitely make the effort to get back there again

    Great food, lovely service and environment. Our young server did really well as it was her first shift. A particular mention for the gravy – just amazing.!!!
