Our food is a reflection of the melting pot of cultures that has gentrified the Queen West neighbourhood in Toronto. The menu has been designed for guests to share plates, in an effort to create a convivial and social dining experience.

Our Wood-Fire Pizzas are a cross between Roma and Neapolitan styles; cooked in a wood-burning M.A.M pizza oven imported from Italy. It yields a crust that is thin but sturdy. Wood-fire capabilities are critical for our menu as the flavour imparted on the food is exceptional and unique.

Our cocktails are equally thought out as our food. Our bartenders serve up a no-nonsense cocktail program featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients that are all made in house.

I was disappointed when my special request about where I wanted to sit was only noticed when I arrived for lunch(15minutes early) and all the tables along the banquet had been given away. I was, however, pleased after walking around the restaurant that they put us in a semi private room with a large round table. Turned into a lovely afternoon.

Our server seemed a bit disorganized maybe they were new. Food expensive for the quality. Croissant (ham and cheese sandwiches) was greasy. Fluffy scrambled eggs watery. We felt it was really poor service for us to have to pay for refills on coffee for a brunch. No restaurants we go to do this. Nickel & dining customers. Not a good look.. The design and ambience of restaurant nice. But looking up at the tall wall with frames it’s covered in dust halfway up . Not very appetizing.

We decided to go to Good son for Brunch and it exceeded our expectations. The service, ambiance, and food was incredible. We look forward to coming back soon.

The Good Son is one of my regular go-to’s but the peach and greens salad has been less than great. The salad dressing was not evenly dispersed so some leaves didn’t have dressing while others were gooped with dressing. Not a big deal but would appreciate more care in simple dishes.

Things have changed at The good son . We used to be able to sit at one of the round tables beside the window (2 adults and one kid) , we were told that's not possible this time. Also, cappucinos are no longer made with anything other than regular milk because "it's hard to change the milk in the machine" . The side salad for the egg benedict is reduced to just arugulas, they used to have variety of herbs and edamame with a better tasting dressing
