About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
  • Dog-friendly
Natalie and her team of chefs pride themselves on the taste and quality of the food from our kitchens. We use fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, offering an extensive variety of meals and snacks. See our seasonal menu.

It's good, honest, home-cooked, traditional fare of the kind most of us love to eat but that's now so often missing from the menus of many fancy restaurants.

For your special occasions or get togethers you can book exclusive use of our separate Dining Room where we can accommodate up to 30 people for a sit-down meal.

Dogs are allowed in our top bar so you are able to enjoy a meal and a drink or two with your pet. You can also sit outside in our beautiful garden anytime of the year, we have plenty of outdoor seating with patio heaters.

The Greyhound Inn and Hotel offers a "lovely setting" with "beautiful food" and "very friendly staff." Guests appreciate the "great atmosphere" and "excellent service." The menu is varied, though some find portions pricey. A "cosy" ambiance and "dog-friendly" environment make it a "recommended" countryside gem.

Good food spoilt by poor service. The waiter really didn't seem to have much idea of what his role was.

Not the best experience against previous visits, the restaurant and bar was quiet and the service was still not great. Welcome was not as usually received, even though we had booked, gentleman who met us was not prepared for our table to arrive! Food took a very long time to arrive, steaks were good but the chicken burgers were very over cooked. We did not make a fuss as we ordered three of them for our group and after the initial long wait…which was not required due to customer levels, it would not of been worth our time. We were all very disappointed with the whole experience. Come on Greyhound please get your great service and food standards back to normal!

Took friends who were visiting us for the first time.We told them how great the Greyhound was.At the table, hardly any cutlery, and the waitress forgot my friends glass of wine. The menu was purely for roast dnners ,and being in Wales thought their might be Lamb. Not so.The food wasn't great, came out with gravy on and my wife doesn't have gravy. The veg was hard, and limited. The beef hard to cut.It was as if we were the last people eating and had the left overs.Very disappointed as I'd been before and it was great. We wont be returning ,and won't recommend to anybody.

Lovely setting, great outdoor space. Only one vegetarian option on whole menu which was disappointing as they always used to have a large menu of vegetarian options. Rest of food was lovely. Steak for other guests cooked to perfection!

Food very good. Service very poor. From placing our order for food it took at least 45 minutes for our starter. It then took over another hour for the main course

Great country pub. Very welcoming and lovely ground. Great atmosphere inside and great service. Small menu but loved the choice for fish. Seabass and salmon. I choice tereyaki salmon with wild rice would recommend. The was fairly priced at £22. The lasagne was very over priced at £19. Usually comes with garlic bread but came with chips and had to pay £6 extra. We go to Italian restaurants a lot and a lasagne there is only £15. So I’d say not worth it
