The Guild exemplifies a new and exciting take on the finest traditions of butchery, cookery and bar-keeping. The name is inspired by guild halls from the past, which served as a meeting places and secret societies for artists and merchants. Honouring local beef, game and fowl, and utilizing traditional cooking techniques over wood and coal, The Guild chefs are preparing a fitting homage to proud Canadian carnivores.

    Although ambience was lacking for this $$$$restaurant, the food was exceptional. We really enjoyed our server. Highly recommend the roast beet salad and the maple short ribs! Accessibility is an issue in this former Hudson Bay department store. 4 sets of stairs to washrooms. Safety was a concern at night walking down 8th Avenue mall especially at dusk.

    We went there to celebrate my father in laws birthday. It was an awesome atmosphere, food was amazing, great cocktails and wine selection. We ordered the tomahawk steak and shared among the four of us. The steak was amazing! Sides of Brussels sprouts, broccolini and mashed potato’s were all so delicious. Everyone was super impressed, and our server Konner was a wonderful host. He was helpful all night and was great fun all around. Among all his suggestions, the phyllo wrapped cheesecake dessert was out of this world and the perfect exclamation point to a wonderful dinner out with family.

    There has been a massive change since my last visit. A few years ago, the place was packed with a high-energy, beautiful crowd with a high sense of fashion. I brought my man there last night (Friday) and hyped him about this place. When we got there, it was empty and sad. The food is still great, though.
