   I took 2 guests to Hampton Social because none of us had been there and we live in Delray. Our waitress was very friendly and asked us if any of us had a food allergy. Unfortunately, I have a terrible reaction to garlic which is hard in some restaurants but Hampton Social does not have one item on the menu that does not have some sort of garlic. Never have I experienced this before. Why would a chef not have several items that do not have garlic in them. I could have the Salmon without the sauce. I’ve never heard of fish and chips with garlic in the batter. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

   Everything was really delicious! But portion sizes have been diminishing. We have been patrons of the Delray location since it opened and have noticed an uptick of stinginess. On our last visit, two family members ordered the short rib and one portion was half the size of the first and very fatty. The better portion was normal size but not as large as it was when Hampton Social first opened. Then that portion was served to the largest man at the table. And the larger portion served to a little lady at the table. Very poor effort from the kitchen expeditor and food runner. We decided to pass on dessert.

   We had heard the Hampton Social was special and had great food. Unfortunately, for Sunday brunch, my friends and I did not find any appealing, healthy options . For the price, we also found it insulting that tater tots was the potato option.The ambiance and service was excellent. However, overall the experience was a disappointment.

   Everything we had was above a beyond fantastic. New England Clam Chowder, Brussel Sprouts, Spicy Shrimp Tacos and Short Ribs. Too bad they don't open a place in Tradition in Port St Lucie.

   Sunday brunch with friends. Food was very tasty and fairly priced. Service was horrible. Had to hunt down the hostess for checkin. Virtually every item we asked for: butter for the toast, salt & pepper, coffee refills…. My friend spilled his iced coffee and we had to ask four times for someone to come out to the patio where we were seated to clean it for us. This place is in need of a management overhaul and staff training. Hopefully they will get their act together. May wait a while and try them again.

   Dear William, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the missed opportunities for service during your visit for Sunday brunch. I'm very sorry that the service did not match the quality of the food during this visit. I've have followed up with all of the staff and managers involved during this visit and used your feedback as a coaching tool so that we can hopefully prevent this from happening again. I understand part of the issue was the delay in getting towels out to help clean up the spilled coffee, and as a result we've created a storage area for towels near the front of the restaurant to speed up this process, as our previous storage space was all the way in the back of the restaurant.     Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend We had a lunch reservation at The Hampton Social and were excited to try it out, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. After being seated, we waited over 15 minutes and not a single staff member came to greet us, offer water, or even acknowledge that we were there. The lack of basic service was unacceptable, especially for a place that’s priced as high as this one. We ended up leaving the restaurant without ordering. For the premium prices they charge, the service should at least meet minimum standards. Definitely would not recommend.
