The Hobbit is a lovely restaurant to have a special dining experience. The service is incredible. Their wine cellar is extraordinary. It’s a formal dining experience. There’s one service a night. This latter fact brings about the only down side. Because every course is served to every diner at the same time, there are issues with food being overcooked. With my meal, for example, the pasta in the first course and the pork in the second course were slightly overcooked. But that’s hard to avoid when everyone eats at the same time. The testing menu was creative. The food was well seasoned. The wine pairings were perfect. It’s a fine dining experience that I truly enjoyed.

For the money, food, drinks, and experience was lack luster It was as good as any fine dining restaurant, food was good, service was good, drinks were good, just with a extra 1.5x tacked on For the price, drinks should be included and the music should never touch reggae, and I’m a reggae fan, just didn’t match up to the ambiance at all, completely out of place

The food was good we liked the old style where they served chapagne and lots of horderves in the cellar. The prices was very expensive considering what you get. I was celebrating my 59 birthday and it was great however the bill was over $1100.00 for a party of 4. Also, we had to purchase two bottle of wine as wine does not come with your meal unless you pay an additional $75.00 per person. The total bill would have been the same. As the two bottles we purchased we $300.00 total. in any case wine or not is is way over priced.

This has been a favorite restaurant of mine for about 30 years. It's my go-to place for special occasions and celebrations. We treated a longtime friend for her milestone birthday, and the evening didn't disappoint. From champagne and appetizers at the beginning to delicious course after course (and intermission) and wines, we had a wonderful time. The service was also outstanding. We will certainly return.

We’ve come here on a few special occasions and has always been a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional. Highly recommend the wine pairing. Not only to compliment the dishes, but the wines as also delicious on their own.

It was not the same experience as the when the original owners had it . It changed you don’t have appetizers and cocktails in the basement any more when you arrive at 6 pm . You don’t have any seating when get intermission . So you have to go outside or walk for 10-15 min . Is less food but, quality is little better and $$$.
