   They have added a couple of new choices for their brunch menu. We tried the new crab dip that has a hint of Old Bay croutons flavor and will come back just for that dish. It is prepared in a cast iron skillet with toasted bread slices for dipping. DELICIOUS!!!!

   It was absolutely delicious as always! Ruthie is always wonderful and was just the same today! I highly recommend the brunch burger, french fries, and cinnamon roll for brunch and ANY seafood for dinner (particularly the low tide spread)!

   Christmas brunch with our friends and it was delightful. We were pampered by our server. The food was served promptly and was very good. The Independent in The George is a lovely experience.

   We had an amazing dinner at The Independent to celebrate a special birthday. The food was fantastic—all of our dishes were amazing. We were thankful for our server, Jane, and all of her team for being so attentive and caring about us having a great celebration. You will not regret dining here.

   Nice place, still great addition to Georgetown. Food we had was good. I had the skirt steak which was tender, flavorful and cooked the way I requested. It did come with only two small sliced fingerling potatoes and that was it. Some more potatoes and a vegetable would be nice. With more competition in town they really have to be on their toes. Dishes also could be a bit more colorful and perhaps be open to a bit more variety instead of being so focused on ‘southern’.

    This was our first time dining at The Independent. My wife and I were staying at The George Hotel celebrating our birthdays. We were impressed with every aspect of service and food quality. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Each course was tasty and well presented. We have already made plans to return and bring friends!
