   Excellent customer service. Brian our waiter was very attentive, friendly, courteous and there when the time was right. Eddie the manager, was very courteous and friendly and gave me his business card, incase we needed anything for future reservations. I’m hoping to introduce a group of friends to this new gem in Scottsdale.

   Food was phenomenal. They were running a bit behind so we got seated late, but they brought out champagne for those waiting to be sat so we werent too upset. Service was also great. would go back in a heartbeat.

   We had a 730p reservation for 4 on a Friday night. Even though we had a reservation we still waited 15-20 minutes. They did serve Prosecco to those of us waiting, which was nice. We were seated at a smaller 4-top. After about 5 min, Nate took our drink orders and bread was delivered. The bread/butter was good. We got 2 Joey Negronis and a limoncello martini. The two enjoyed their Negronis but the limoncello martini was a 3 out of 10 at best. We ordered truffle beef carpaccio and a salami/calibrese/honey pizza for appetizers and they were both very good. For dinner we ordered a lobster ravioli (6 out of 10), short rib ravioli (7 out of 10), veal Parmesan (2 out of 10) and eggplant gnocchi (8 out of 10). After dinner we asked about the limoncello cart and were told they no longer do that, but they would bring it for our table. It was so disappointing- nothing special at all; however, another gentleman noted our designated driver wasn’t drinking and he brought a lemonade so we could all toast together. We did not order dessert. Our bill was a bit over $400. Nate was great but the overall service was mediocre. The tables are so close together that there is no room for the service staff to serve appropriately. They were constantly reaching over us and we had to ask them to take used dishes (that was annoying because our table was so crowded to begin with). The restaurant is EXTREMELY loud in part to the number of people it seats. Maybe acceptable if the decreased the number of tables. The Italiano is just ok, nothing special and a disappointment when compared to Chef Joey’s father’s restaurant, Tomaso’s. Would return to the Italiano only if someone invited me and wanted to try it and I couldn’t get a reservation somewhere else. In full disclosure, the 4 of us have eaten at several 3-Michelin star restaurants and several of the nicer restaurants in the Phoenix area so we have high expectations.

   Michael was serving an outstanding charcuterie service where you got to pick exactly what you wanted on the board. It was outstanding. Great drinks

   Feels like you are on a cruise ship. The staff are nice . Decor is odd. Kinda like they told the designer we want to take an old school east coast neighborhood Italian place and modernized it which doesn’t really work. The back walls have digital back lit art similar to renaissance Works found in Italy. At any moment, the screen feels like it could change to The Little Mermaid . There’s nothing overly special about the food. I had the filet mignon Italian style that was cooked very well but over salted. would go back if invited, but wouldn’t go on my own.
