   Absolutely wonderful first dinner night in London! Will probably book one more night before we leave. Our server was excellent! The vibe is great!

   I was quite disappointed how long the service took, I didn’t feel like they paid much attention and this proves I’m forgetting sides we ordered and then adding incorrect items to our bill.

   This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Ivy. I was extremely disappointed — the service was so bad, I have no words. My daughter’s birthday was completely ruined. And to top it all off, we were given a bill with a service charge, which of course we refused to pay. When I mentioned how terrible the service was, the manager just replied, ‘Yeah, okay,’ with no real reaction or apology. I will never go there again, and I definitely won’t recommend it to anyone.

   Disappointingly I was given just one menu to choose from and, not being very familiar with The Ivy, I thought the menu I received was the menu for today so I chose a main meal from it. This was a vegan curry. After a while others sat nearby and I noticed they were given two menus. I would much have preferred a meat or fish dish and was envious of my neighbours as they tucked into their meat and fish choices! The dessert was excellent (creme brûlée)!

   We've always been big fans of the Ivy, Kings Road, regularly coming to celebrate special occasions like birthdays, but...oh dear...last night was a big disappointment. The food was not so good and has become very overpriced - £13.75 for five small pieces of calamari in a starter?? - the steak very overcooked, the service hit and miss (although the waitress was kind and well-meaning). I could go on...Really rather sad to have come expecting something special and left feeling short-changed.

   Very posh location as usual, not lucky with weather to access to the garden. Food delicious and excellent service with Carolina.

   This was possibly the worst dining expeirence I have had in London recently. The service was really poor with a waiter who did not know the product and also did not check on us during the period we were there. He also failed to activate the dry ice in the arrangement by pouring water on it. The food was really poor (we had afternoon tea), it was pre-packaged sandwiches and cake - this could have come from a supermarket. The creme brulee had been made so far in advance the sugar had disolved. Also it was clear cheap frozen blueberries had been used. The muffin / cake was worse than the catering company that serves my school provides. The choclate bomb was okay - but we were not provided with appropriate utensiles to eat it so had to resort to using our teaspoon provided with the drinks. I have had a better afternoon tea from a supermarket cafe.

    Amazing venue but some of the staff attitude felt unwelcoming, wanted to see the garden but few members of staff scared us off.
