    The service was disappointing. We had a much better last time. The waitress brought us the wrong wine, at a much higher price. She added things to the bill we did not order. The wine is overpriced - the cheapest bottle is £38. The food was okay.

    Had to ask for menus. Given 2 between 3. No wine list. Eventually got the right number. Crispy duck starter was limp. Fish cakes overdone. Yes we could have complained- but we wanted a hassle free evening.

    I’ve been to the ivy city a few times now, the food and service is good and I like the ambience too. We sat at the high stalls at the bar which was nice, it has a nice vibe, my only complaint would be that I was bashed into whilst sitting on my stall circa 15 times during the course of our visit, and half of the time it was the staff! 🤣 perhaps the corner stall being placed where it is isn’t ideal! I’d recommend for a nice lunch in the city.
